Default Do you use the ignore-list?

The Poll of the Day.

I expect someone to answer: "No, but if you keep on posting these polls, I will put YOU to the ignore list!" Or a *dirty mind*, or something.

I know I can count on you.

I've used it on another board. First, I have to get the impression that nothing the person has to say will ever be of any use to me. (That's only about 1 out of 5000 people.)

I did try to use it once, but since the forum still tells you that the person in question has posted something, curiosity often got the better of me so it was a waste of time. If I really want to ignore someone, I can just skip past whatever it is they're saying anyway, in theory.

For a very long while I thought Curt had me on his ignore list... that was, like, three message boards and a year ago...

Click on someone's nick to open their profile, then on the right, beneath their personal picture is "add NICK to your ignore list". I'd assume it makes you ignore their posts, although I don't know exactly how it works, since I've never used it.

Instead of that persons post, you get a message saying something like:
"AGA has posted in this discussion/thread/something. You have him on your ignore-list. Would you like to remove him?"
So you can still see if that person has posted.
