What's on your Start Menu?
A thread for Windows-users who aren't stuck with the old Win-95 style start menu. It might be more interesting than the "show your desktop" ones. Or at least different. What does your Start Menu look like?
My Windows computer is still new, so the list of programs there is fluctuating, but this is what is looks like right now. At the top (i.e. the programs I've placed on the Start Menu): Internet (Opera) iTunes Paint Shop Pro 6 ...and the programs Windows has seen me use, and suspects I might use again: Windows Media Center Finale 2006 The Command Prompt Corel Painter Essentials 2 Chivalry is Not Dead Blender Inform 7 Dreamfall - The Longest Journey Adobe Reader

Mine is: Internet (Opera) FileZilla Macromedia Flash 8 FreeCell Spider Solitaire Eclipse Mozilla Firefox Intel PROSet Wireless Though my most-used programs are actually accessed from the Quick Launch bar, which consists of Opera, Miranda, OpenOffice Writer, Crimson Editor, and the WME Project Manager. I swear I've done this meme before, somewhere...

Oldskewel alert! I'm still on Classic Menus for most of my boxes (except one or two and work that don't get flexed too heavily).

I was running in classic Windows mode for a long time too. Also, pretty new setup as well. I haven't used Outlook in more than three years.

I only use Windows for games, and I start those games from links on the desktop, so I have no idea what my start menu looks like (I'm not on my own PC at the moment). I can tell you what my desktop links are at the moment though. From bottom to top (that's the order in which I want to play the games):
1. Other Worlds (that game seems to have no end) 2. East side Story 3. Chivalry is (not) dead 4. Recycle Bin (one of those icons you seem to be unable to remove) |

I thought about adding something about various Linux interfaces, but never got round to it. I don't know much about Gnome, Kde and the rest either. I'm not surprised to learn that there are clone(s?) of the start menu.
To make it even more multi-platform, here's what's in the dock on my Mac (not the same thing, since what's in the dock is completely user controlled, but it somewhat fills the same function): Finder (well, duh) Safari iPhoto iTunes Finale 2006d VLC Skype Xcode Post-it notes

Here I am.
Neverwinter Nights and FastCrawl (a quick RPG which I'd highly recommend. Check out the demo) as current top game choices. Real Player because I play music while browsing the forums. Paint (for screenshots) and Word for my latest blog post. Adobe Reader to read the manuals and maps for the text adventures whilst compiling the blog post.
