Matrix Revolutions Trailer

New Oracle. There's a scene very reminiscent of the Lobby Shootout from the first film. And Monica Bellucci's back.

Get this.
The new Oracle is there, because some parents kidnapped the old Oracle and handed her over to The Architect or The Agents or whatever. In return The Architect releases their son. The new Oracle says this boy is supposedly really important or whatever. This boy is the same boy in The Kid short from Animatrix, that thinks Neo saved him. Yes, the same boy that's ass-kissing Neo when he returns to Zion in Reloaded. Yeah...

Oh, man, that's a relief. Halfway through that paragraph, I started to worry that the son was going to be the spoon kid.

If it's any better than LXG I'll waste my time and money on it.

I didn't think that little trailer was very special at all. Just like with Reloaded, I'm not going hold very high expectations for Revolutions. After seeing Reloaded, I think the series would have been best served if it never had any sequels, but I'll see Revolutions anyway, just so I can see how the story ends. And who knows. It could be the best of the three.

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS AN OPINION
I can still rewatch the original Matrix every day. Not because of its deep theories about.... something, but because it'sf a well-told, exciting action epic, and because of Hugo Weaving. I'm unsure that I'll watch Reloaded more than once more (to fresh up on all the gooey exposition at the end before I watch the next one). Revolutions..... I'll watch it, but just because I "have to". I won't fall for the "this movie will rock more than the last one!" hype I did for Reloaded. |
