Who's your Simpsons/South Park avatar?
The promotional website for the Simpsons Movie includes the option to create your own avatar and see it around Springfield. So who are you in Matt Groening's imagination?
EDIT Now that practically everyone in Adland has a Simpsons persona, we're going for South Park too: (See Davies SP avatar here) Here's me! It's a pretty close lookalike to what I *wish* I looked like: Last edited by stepurhan; 07-21-2007 at 01:38 AM. Reason: Put South Park link at front |

Try pressing the "Prt Sc" / "Prnt Scrn" key on the keyboard to take a screen capture, then paste it into the photo editing software of your choice, to crop and save it.

I used a nice little freeware program called Screenshot Wizard. The guy's English is not that great, but the program is. I don't know how to get the much-vaunted plugins (if there are any), but am happy just to grab a rectangle and stick it in the Windows clipboard.
Then I ran it through PhotoPlus just to cut the file size down, which is why it looks a bit grainy. |

I'm a tad curvier in real life, but this is the closest I could get. *shrugs*

Here's me. I'm not completely happy, but it's close enough. I'm also a bit curvier in real life, but nothing I can do about that here. Also, the skintone is a *tad* too light. Isn't this the one they usually use for Asian people a lot? I could use a tone between the standard yellow, and this one. Also, I'm grumpy because they don't have any glasses. Then again, I wouldn't want to have Milhouse's glasses. -

I guess this is me, or a beefy version of David Tennant. I also wish glasses were available.

I'm glad I got LASIK two years ago, otherwise I would be among those complaining about the lack of glasses as well.

Does anyone else find only having a choice of one colour for the shirt too restrictive? No? Just me?

Well, I do have contacts too, but they're dailies, and I have to get new ones right now. So currently I don't have them, really. I don't wear them regularly either. Sometimes, for a few days, I feel like wearing contacts, and take the time to put them in every morning. Other times I prefer to wear glasses. And then there's the special occasions where I'd often wear glasses. I just noticed, that my avatar still looks too "pretty but stupid" girly like. I think it's the fault of combining those eyes with that hair and that smile. I could have fixed it all, by using a toothy smile like Squinky. But I never smile with teeth, only grin. If I smile with teeth showing, it looks like I'm baring my canines (which I basically am). I actually *like* that I look like I'm baring my teeth in those cases, because it creeps people out. But if I don't need to creep people out, I smile with a closed mouth. I grin with bare teeth, though. Also revealing my canines. -

Actually, yes, I also found that too restrictive. I wanted to have black sleeves and a white shirt. -

Oh man, it was awesome. By then, I couldn't feel anything, even though I was awake the whole time. They pulled back the flap, my vision went all weird, then I was made to stare at a bright light while they zapped away at my lens. I remember an unnerving burning smell, but that's about it.
Afterwards, though, I had to put in a hell of a lot of eyedrops. That wasn't fun. That's what I used to do too, particularly after I got a new pair of awesome thick black-framed emo glasses and actually wanted to wear them. Except my contacts weren't dailies, because I had horrible astigmatism and couldn't get any for my prescription at the time.

This is some kind of very pretty version of me I ended up making. She has that body shape because I needed something very curvy. I'm also joining the gang who wish for glasses. Oh, and if anyone wonders, her lips are yellow because she's not wearing lipstick..
