Default Happy Queen's day Dutchies!

So how are you gonna enjoy this most loved day of the year? Me, I'm going to sleep off my hangover, en then start drinking again. Then the friends will probably come and we'll drink some more. Oh what fun we will have.

Default Happy Spring Celebration, Swedes!

It doesn't look like it'll be too cold by the fire tonight.

Where I live it's been freezing all day. 9 C by noon.
But that's a good thing imo. It means hopefully there will be somewhat calmer amongst the young people who are outdoors tonight partying. My son will be out with friends and I'm always worried that he'll run into trouble.

20 C and up, plus I've had my first sunburn of the year. I'm more the snowy "gets the kicks out freezing his socks off" type of guy though... as long as there actually IS snow involved.

Thank you cookiemonster lover! I spent a nice say in the sun, both in the center of Enschede and in my garden. The weather is fantastic for Koninginnedag! Not too hot like yesterday. I put some pics on my Flickr page, but they're not so good. Anyway, you can see them here.

Nothing, but as April 30 also happens to be the day when Swedes traditionally celebrate the end of winter, I thought we could share the thread. (See the additional title on my post above.) I Love Cookiemonster's post looked a bit lonely.

Today is my two-year anniversary of being single. I guess I'll celebrate that.

Happy workers day everybody!

The first of may a lot of people have the day off, and this is the day where it's arranged processions all over Norway, where people have big signs with slogans on, stating what they think the government need to rethink..

Big red day. Lots of red flags..

Well, very slightly hung over I can tell you that it was a really nice day. I was relativly sober but because I drank al kinds of stuff I still had to puke a little. So today i'm going to have a uneventful day hopefully finishing my new Star Wars book en then tomorrow and the rest of the week I hope to be doing a lot of schoolwork.

How where youre Queen's day's? Any non-Dutchies painted there face orange and just started drinking?

I'm still "enjoying" Queensday... Yeah, I've got a bloody hangover

It's been a great weekend! PSV became the Dutch soccer champions, so I had 2 reasons to party

Too bad I didn't get enough sleep... For 3 days in a row I went to bed around 6 in the morning and at 8 in the morning my new neighbours started working on their house; drilling, sawing, sanding, banging hammers and more stuff that makes too much noise in the early, early morning!

OMG, mind the hangover!

I went to Amsterdam yesterday, which was busy as hell. And yes, today I had to work. I'm going to bed extra early tonight, because I really have some sleep to catch up.
