My kindergarten was named Hummelhonk, which roughly translates to Toddler's Den. If you want crying children at your doorstep, give your place a name that refers to children being little creatures that don't know what's good for them. Man did I hate that place.

"little adventure"
"second home" probably way too mushy, but..
"children's playground"
"8to8" (that assumes that your opening hours are quite long..)
"bucket and spade" then you need to have a sand box..
or "bed and breakfast" or maybe "bed and lunch"..
"play and socialize" maybe not so catchy..

Edit: oh I know: Bullsie's (insert whichever name) Bed and Breakfast - For the Little People

Interestingly, Hummel (bumblebee) and Honk (I don't think it's in the dictionary, but I've heard it used, however infrequently as a pretty condescending kind of insult directed towards guys, think: "retard") are two words also familiar to Germans. In any case, Hummelhonk sounds funny.

Hummerhonk: drop your kids off in your Hummer and honk the horn to let Bullsie know you're there!

How about the Frobozz Magic Happyness Centre

but seriously:

The Secret Garden
Bullsie's Clubhouse
or my favourite:
Wee-ans World (pronounced Wayne's World, wee-ans is Scottish for "wee ones" or kids)

"Neverland" could have worked as well, if it was still 1988

Kim's Kozy Kabin (I hate this sort of spelling but it seems to sell)

Doggy Day Care (Sounds like a good film title)

The Safe House (Snappy and emphasises that kids are safe in your hands. Possibly out mentioning the child care part is a problem)

Those are just off the top of my head but the answers to a few questions might help spark more.

What sort of setting is the centre in? Sort of following on to Jelena's nature theme. A name relating to the setting might also help people remember where it is.

What sort of facilities are you providing? A kids play area near here has lots of stuff to climb on. They've gone for the simple name "Clambers" as a result.

What age group are you providing care for? Presumably babies/toddlers. They can then be incorporated into the name.

Who are your target market? Hard one to answer I know but getting a feel for the local mindset helps come up with a name to match. The over-priviliged rich and mothers working to live are going to be attracted by different things.

The current location that I’m looking at has 5 acres of land that is fenced in. So basically it’s a large field at this time.

The building lay out will be, when you come in the front door that will be the reception area/ desk, and right behind that I want an indoor play area, in case of rain the kids have some where to play. It will be a “Space room”. The ceiling will have in laid lights to look like the night sky. This would be an example.

This room will be lit up brighter so that the kids don’t fall over each other. But the room it’s self will have “Space toys” in it. Moon shoes, Toy rocket ships, dress up space suites….. and so on. Also there will blow up balls that look like the planets – check this out. http://www.leapsandbounds.com/catalog/product.jsp?siteId=118&productId=298756&cm_ven=Sor tprice&cm_ite=LAB

But the room will be a place that the kids can have fun when it is raining out side. The other rooms will have bright colors “Primary colors”. For instance the Toddler room will be the lady bug room. There will be small lady bugs on the walls and large lady bug bean bags pillows for the kids to play with in the floor. All of the other rooms will be something along those lines.

The ages will be 6 weeks to 12 years old. Operation hours are 6am -6pm.

My target market is middle to low income families. Most of the stuff above I will be able to get grants for b/c I’m catering to the “lower income” families. I will also be able to qualify for an education grant that will allow me to get computers for the after schoolers. The low to moderate income family may not be able to afford things like computers at home so the perfect place for the kids to be exposed to the computer is at school and the day care.

I hope that helped….you all have been doing great with the names please keep it up.

Thanks so much

Stinky Plumberry's Daycare... with Mr SP being a charicature of some sort... a fine, albeit goofy gentleman with big top-hat, possibly modeled after your husband, who makes the occasional appearance. The name is aimed at kids to get a chuckle out of them... think "edgy for kids".

I had thousands of suggestions but since it's not an S&M adult-only place I'll just keep them to myself.

Camp Pants!

I like that. The exclamation point helps tremendously.

Soccer Mom: "So Aaron, we already looked at seven daycare centers for you. Which one do you want to go to?"

Little Aaron: "Camp Pants!!!"

Soccer Mom: " ...... "

Not bad, but there is already a small daycare not to far from her with that name. But still a good suggestion.

Try something patriotic, you're all Republicans in the South, how about "Bushy's Babies" with a big pic of Dubya on the sign?
