Default Have you seen Flyboy?

Has anyone talked to Flyboy recently? It’s like he dropped off of the face of the planet.

Does anyone know anything?

He's either still mucking about Scotland (which has got to be a culture shock for him on many levels), or he's moved on to another place.

Didn't he say that he and his GF might be moving to another country soon?

I don't really remember. I kind'a remember him saying that he was going on a vacation or moving but then again sometimes I forget what I had for breakfast that morning..... teehee. I have a bad memory.

Thanks for the memory jolt though, maybe he is just taking some time off, hope he comes back soon.

And I would never dream of suggesting otherwise. However, a nice Jewish boy from Canada might find that being surrounded by rowdy, fun-loving Scots on their home turf all day takes a bit of getting used to.

Sort of an international "Northern Exposure" kind of situation, I'd imagine.

You're right, Ms. Bulldog. Is it any wonder I'm dying to go over there myself?

Teehee….. I must confess I would love to go over seas and visit. I don’t know about how much parting I can do but I would love to visit other countries.

I tried that, and got this message:

I sent him a PM but I haven't heard back from that OM. I sent it about 3 weeks ago. I wish that we knew what was going on. Maybe Sage was right and he is just on vacation or something like that.

I don't think that he joined the JDL......or maybe he needed a break and is on vacation somewhere with his girlfriend. Who knows, he might not be on vacation at all maybe he needed a break from us. Oh well, lets just hope that he finds his way back to us soon.

Wow! I don't believe I was actually missed! Also, I'm amazed that anyone even remembers that I'm both Jewish and Canadian. I see someone here's taking notes.

So here's the story, in case anyone cares...

I was in Scotland, and now am back home in occasionally snowy, but more recently sunny Montreal, Quebec, Canada, North America. And no, I didn't leave as a result of culture shock. On the contrary, I quite enjoyed my afternoon pints and public drunken debauchery. Sadly, I left because I ran out of money and the general feeling of unproductiveness was starting to eat away at me.

So, I flew to Barcelona with my lady friend, had a wonderful time, then bought a one way ticket home, after which I immediately went to Toronto, followed by some town called Montebello, followed by another town called Los Angeles for an interview at the AFI (which I did not get into). Now I'm back home, busy up to my ears with this crazy web series that I'm working on with a friend, while juggling music videos, short films, promotional bullshit and, and, keeping with the Scottish tradition (I'm sorry I didn't learn much else about your culture), drinking.

Things are good but hectic, and for anyone who's curious, the relationship hasn't suffered a bit. We're doing it long distance for the moment, which works well with the amount of work that we're both dealing with.

And why did I leave this here message board? To be honest, when I wasn't doing much with myself, I found that I was spending an increasing amount of time reading over the same few topics and posting the same few comments over and over and over. I guess in a way I associated posting on these boards with some kind of lack of productivity, so while I enjoyed it, I kind of forced myself to stop for my own mental health. It was the first step towards finding something to do with my time. I'm not sure that makes any sense, but the point is, I'm busy and hell, and I'm back.

So there you have it. The mystery of Flyboy's whereabouts solved.
