Default Foods: Only One Of Each?

If you could eat only one food from each group for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Here are the groups:

Meat
Seafood
Vegetable
Fruit
Dairy
Carbohydrate
Beverage
Dessert

Let the feast (or fast) begin!

I'll post my choices later on.

I can prepare the foods in any variety I can think of, right? Or do I have to pick one particular preparation and eat the exact same meal for the rest of my life?

Anyway, my picks:

Meat: chicken
Seafood: bah, no idea
Vegetable: carrots
Fruit: pink lady apples
Carbohydrate: French fries
Beverage: water
Dessert: boterroomkoek. I really don't know the English name for it, I'm not sure it's even known in the rest of the world, as it needs "petit beurre" cookies. Also, the recipe I use is impossible to find on the internet, I got it from an old children's cook book.

Are we only allowed the things on the list, or is this like Ready Steady Cook where we get things like herbs and spices for free, in addition to our list items?

Fairygdmther, you're right! How could I have forgotten Dairy?

I've edited the original post to correct that oversight. My apologies to those who have already responded.

You can prepare them any way you like, or a different way each day as long as the main ingredient in each category remains the same.

Herbs, spices, breading, and anything else needed for preparation are fine. Just list one item from each group that you think you could live with for the rest of your life if necessary. Be as general or specific as you like.

My picks-
Meat: Turkey
Seafood: Flounder (Shrimp a very close second)
Vegetable: Green beans
Fruit: Banana
Dairy: Feta cheese
Carbohydrate: Basmati rice
Beverage: Unsweetened iced tea
Dessert: Almond M&Ms (Rasmalai a very close second)

Hehehe! I am a Southerner, but there's a story that goes with that preference.

At one point I suffered a mental block against picking up sugar at the grocery store. I would go specifically intent on getting a bag of sugar and wind up buying $100 worth of groceries, only to get home and realize that I had forgotten...the sugar! After about four episodes of having to go right back to the store I'd just left, I reached the breaking point. I said "Screw it, I'll learn to drink my tea unsweetened!". I did, and now most sweetened tea is too sweet for my taste (and really, how hard is it to remember "One cup of sugar per gallon of tea"?).

So there you have it, the saga of how mental deficiency on my part led to a change of preference in beverage.
