That's a tough one. As much as I love Picard, I also admire Janeway's strong female character. I can't choose.

Odo or Neelix?

Neelix, he's much more fun than stuffy Odo.

Deep Space Nine or Babylon 5?

The Beatles - though it still annoys me when people say "they're the best band who ever were and ever will be", because I simply disagree.

Me or Brad Pitt?

Pee. It feels better and you don't have to clean up so much afterwards.

Analogue, it's more appealing aesthetically, to me, anyway.

Sport jacket, jeans and flip-flops worn at a semi-casual party: classy or tacky?

Since I'm unemployed, cash is more useful to me these days, but I always appreciate a well thought out tangible gift.

Is Oceania at war with Eurasia or Eastasia?

One, both, or neither, depending on the propaganda and latest news bulletins.

Pomegranate green and white tea, or chocolatey chai herbal tea?

Pizza Hut - I don't think I've seen a Papa John's in the UK.

In music, which is better - a technically very skilled yet conventional instrumentalist, or one who - while lacking the technical skill - is willing to push boundaries and explore new timbres with his/her chosen instrument?

I was inclined to say the latter, but yesterday I saw Toots Thielemans on TV and now I don't know anymore. The guy is 88, a bit deaf, and he still plays like there is no tomorrow. Unbelievable.
