Highland, in general, though I appreciate the occasional Islay. I lean towards the sweeter rather than the smokey, peaty flavors of the Islay.

Fruit or vegetable with your protein of choice?

Kolzig 04-21-2007 10:30 PM

Fruit

still life or stilleben

Kolzig 04-22-2007 10:13 AM

I guess still life.
what is stilleben?

Guitar or bass?

Squinky 04-22-2007 10:27 AM

Oh man, I play both, so it's really, really tough to decide. That said, I'll pick bass, because fewer people play it.

Europe or Asia?

Jelena 04-22-2007 10:34 AM

I'm one of few who hasn't got much interest in going to Asia. Well perhaps Japan. But over here everyone visits Thailand and I couldn't be less interested. I never get tired of visiting countries in Europe though, so

Europe

north or south

ssa 04-22-2007 10:40 AM

German: stil = still, leben = life

refering to art portraying still objects like vases, fruitbowls, skulls etc.

If we're talking european maps then north for nature and south for culture

green tea or rooibos

Giligan 04-22-2007 02:49 PM

Green tea.

Hemispheres? Decidedly north. Though I'd love to visit some of the south.

South America or Africa?

tsa 04-22-2007 09:47 PM

Giligan: I hate shooting games so I would chose neither.

Speck: I think I know even less about South America than I know about Africa, so I would go to South America.

Mars or Venus?

SSH 04-23-2007 12:59 AM

Venus, 'cause thats where women are from

Miranda or Uranus?

ssa 04-23-2007 01:53 AM

...dont know...

is Miranda your mother-in-law and Uranus where you'ld rather be?

bulldog 04-23-2007 04:52 AM

Uranus

Would you rather go camping for a weekend or go to a hotel ?

SSH 04-23-2007 07:04 AM

Miranda is one of Uranus's moons, obviously...

Hotel, for sure... I live in Scotland! Speaking of which:

Rain or Sleet?

tsa 04-23-2007 07:59 AM

Rain! Rain is not so bad as long as it isn't also cold outside. We don't have much sleet here in the Netherlands but I hate it.

Do you rather lay on the grass in the sun or in a comfortable chair (also in the sun)?

Jelena 04-23-2007 08:08 AM

Both is nice but since I have this big deckchair with a small attached table for drinks, books, sunglasses and whatever my choice is

comfortable chair

Read a book before you go to sleep or Chat on the internet before you go to sleep?

TangentBlack 04-23-2007 08:42 AM

Book before bed.

Eastwood's Harry Callahan or The Man With No Name (Spaghetti Western)?

Squinky 04-27-2007 12:49 AM

I don't know anything about spaghetti westerns, so I'll answer Jelena's question. I pick chat on the internet, but only if it's with someone I really really like. Otherwise, reading a book's just as good.

A bitter old man or a complete nutjob?

SSH 04-27-2007 02:38 AM

Bitter old man... that describes me perfectly

Tango or Salsa?

bulldog 04-27-2007 06:11 AM

Salsa for me, it was east for me to learn (I have two left feet, not literally of course:P )

Do you prefer pasta or rice as a side dish to your main course

Squinky 04-27-2007 10:42 AM

Pahhsta. My parents come from cultures where it's customary to eat rice with practically every meal, hence, rice lost its novelty value for me quite early on.

Too much noise or complete silence?

Jelena 04-27-2007 10:44 AM

Easy one:

Complete silence.

too hot or too cold

bulldog 04-27-2007 10:47 AM

too hot

too bright or too dark

tsa 04-27-2007 10:56 AM

Too dark.

Classical music or hiphop?

Kolzig 04-27-2007 11:01 AM

Classical music of course.

Anime or western cartoon?

Squinky 04-27-2007 01:05 PM

Western cartoon. At least it all doesn't look the same. (Though for all I know, maybe all Western cartoons look the same to Japanese people. *shrugs*)

Jazz or classic rock?

Not A Speck Of Cereal 04-27-2007 06:49 PM

Jazz. I have a large collection of classic rock, but rarely listen to it. My jazz collection, however, continues to grow. As do my "world" and electronica collections.

Action films or drama?

tsa 04-27-2007 08:53 PM

Drama. I don't like seeing people killed or get killed.

When you listen to music at home, would you rather listen to a CD with live music, or music amde in the studio by the same band?

beat!the!champ! 04-27-2007 10:32 PM

Depends on the band, some live performances lose a lot when you're not there. Also some bands I enjoy are hit-or-miss live. Studio.

Now you. Plaid or argyle!?

tsa 04-28-2007 07:35 AM

Interesting question. I had to look them both up. Argyle. What does that say about me? ;)

Golf or cricket?

bulldog 04-28-2007 08:16 AM

Neither

Football or hockey

ssa 04-28-2007 10:13 AM

Hockey :9~

Worldcups just started :D

Who's the current worldchampion in hockey
Sweden or Sweden

Jelena 04-28-2007 10:38 AM

Well that has to be.....Sweden! *D

here's an old classic:

red wine or white wine?

Not A Speck Of Cereal 04-28-2007 07:35 PM

And I believe it was me who asked it last.

Red.

Pinot Nior or Merlot?

Not A Speck Of Cereal 04-28-2007 07:36 PM

And I believe it was me who asked it last.

Red.

Pinot Noir or Merlot?

Jelena 04-29-2007 01:27 AM

Can I answer Tempranillo? I'm fond of wines from the Spanish region Rioja. Most of them have the grape Tempranillo in them.

Ge up early and have breakfast or sleep in late and have brunch?

RLacey 04-29-2007 01:36 AM

I wish I were capable of the former; instead I'm going to go with sleeping in late and then not eating until Lunch. And that wasn't even an option...

Work or sleep?
