Ditto, but then I'm paranoid.
I'm also scared of failure (albeit not in a turning-white-as-a-sheet kind of way). |

Do you have any reason for feeling this way? I think I'm over sensitive and read too much into what people say or do. My family is really critical of me (even going so far as to have me tested for autism when I was a kid because my mother thought I was "weird") so I assume they don't like me very much, then this feeling of being loathsome spills over to my friends as well.
I wish I could get over it! 10,000 stupid self esteem exercises have not helped. |

For me, it's the other way around; I had tons of experiences in elementary school where kids would act really nice to me and then later on, I'd occasionally find them talking shit about me behind my back. So, to this day, I still find it hard to tell whether a person genuinely likes me or whether they're just acting nice for the sake of being nice.
Usually, when I meet someone who I feel like I really click with, I give them the benefit of the doubt. However, there's always that tiny part of me that believes in the possibility that they may not be who I think they are. I try not to dwell on it too much, though.

Agreed. They are hateful creatures that exist only to terrify humanity. However, their close cousins the dirt daubers capture and kill large numbers of spiders. Unfortunately it isn't easy to tell a dirt dauber from a wasp when it's buzzing around your head, especially if red wasps are native to your area.
Ask them to help you move. That'll weed out the pretenders very quickly. I don't think you're stupid. Erm...those don't affect me one way or the other. Hmmm...since those girls don't find me easy to manipulate, maybe they're afraid of me? If one scares you, just tell her you're a friend of mine. That oughtta get rid of her.

Are they really, or are you and your friends just bad at cooking them?
I haven't ever been stung by one. I hear it hurts about as much as a bee sting. I've been stung by a bee at least once, and it hurt like hell, but that was when i was little and since then I've managed to relize that I was being afraid of them based on outdated experience and to unlearn that. Now, black flies and horse flies I'm scared of, I heard they lay their eggs inside you. I'm not sure about that though, I'll try to look up if it really is true... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fly *views first image* Eeugh. *views fourth image* GUH-ROSS! I've never heard about black flies or horse flies laying eggs in you. Just blow flies and bot flies. Horse flies will take a huge chunk of skin out of you when they bite. It HURTS. Black flies are just miserable little creatures, especially up North in Canada. |

So, what you're saying is that I should have more big, strong, burly male friends?

Wasps, ticks, mosquitos, bed bugs... Not only because they sting/bite, but even more because they can make you sick.

Worms, clowns, and lightning....I don't mind spiders or any other insect type, but worms, maggots etc fill me with indescribable horror.
Clowns have always made me feel horrified, depressed, and uncomfortable, and I've been afraid of lightning since I was a small child and someone told me that lightning could "turn one completely inside out" if it got too close. |
