1. Those who put others into black-and-white categories, and those who don't.
2. Oh, I don't know. I made it up just to sound clever.
3. Whichever one throws the best parties.

***

1. What's your definition of a good party?
2. What's your definition of a bad party?
3. Which do you most often attend?

1. All my friends gathered, some food and good music.
2. A party where I don't know anyone and no-one seems interested to talk to me.
3. The only parties I attend are the ones with my friends. Over here where I live we sort of hibernate during wintertime, so all the gatherings and parties are during spring and summer.

I think these questions were really good and ought to be answered by someone in a more party-attending-age as well:

1. What's your definition of a good party?
2. What's your definition of a bad party?
3. Which do you most often attend?

Well, I'm a university student, so I definitely fit that category. Still, my answers are basically the same as yours, except #2 also contains "too many people, too many loud noises that take effort to talk over, and too much drinking".

I guess age hasn't got much to do with what kind of party person you are.

1. Lots, but I only wear 2 pairs regularly. Most of the others are old ones that have been demoted to "gardening shoes"

2. When I'm not in my kilt, yes

3. To star in Les Miserables on stage... this also involves the fantasy of me being able to sing...

1. For nerds, probably 'cause of the science fiction setting. For me it's the humanistic core of the stories and characters and philosophical themes.

2. I shave my head almost every day. I shave my face every day, two days, or if I'm lazy I let it grow scruffy and just shave my throat and above my lip. I think Sagesie will find me particularly sexy when I'm in a 'lazy' mood. Aren't I right, Sagesie?

1. Lemme see...a pair of black leather handmade brogues bought on sale for $200 at Jil Sander years back, a pair of handmade never worn black leather lace-up dress shoes from David & Joan, a pair of black leather ankle mod boots from David & Joan, a pair of black leather 'tech' mocs from Prada bought years back too, a pair of black calf Adidas sneakes with white racing stripes, a pair of black pig suede skate shoes from NNS (worn most often), black neoprene surfing mocs...

Erm, I have a few pairs of shoes.

2. PERVERT!!!

Yes.

3. To own a condo with a little Japanese garden in North Beach or Nob Hill with the money I've made from my novels and short story anthologies, enjoying life there in San Francisco while writing articles for The New Yorker and other literary and cultural publications, making art and exhibiting them, and travelling to such places as Africa, Tibet, Mongolia, New Zealand, and Australia.

EDIT: Wait, that's not exactly a fantasy. It's a goal.

Oh. My turn to ask.

1. Based on your Briggs-Myer test results, what is your most compatible type (to date, friendship, etc.)?

2. If you are single, when was the last time you had a date? If you're partnered, when was the last time you and your mate went out on a date?

3. Do you like dates or do you prefer raisins or nuts or something else?

1. I'm an INTJ who tends to be strong on the IN and weaker on the TJ. My closest friendships tend to be with other introverted intuitives, though there are definitely exceptions to that rule. The only two romantic relationships I ever had were with an INFP and an ENFP. I think.
2. Oh man, I don't remember. Sometime in 2005 is my best estimate.
3. Raisins or nuts or something else.

1. Do you like doing personality tests?
2. How much of a person's personality can actually be measured through a personality test?
3. Have you ever taken a personality test and gotten a result you disagreed with?

1. No, see 2.

2. I don't believe it's possible at all to really measure one's personality with these tests. At best it'll give you a 50% (I made that up) accurate image of your current state of mind at the time when you took the test. A week from now the result might be different.

Also... you know the "You find an injured puppy at the side of the road..." type questions... there's never enough information to really make an educated decision... what else is going on, is it a time of war or peace, is the puppy one of several, perhaps I can come up with a better solution than the provided a) b) c) d) or e) ... naw... toss these tests in a big pile and recycle them into greeting cards with meaningless platitudes.

3. Yup... they made me take one at the ad agency. Don't really recall the result... just that I was horribly offended... I reminded them to look at my portfolio, told them to hire me based on that, and then told the HR department to go screw themselves if they can't think for themselves. They hired me, I worked there for 5 years and they we sad to see me go.

Gosh, my soapbox has a crack in it... anyway... here they are again, incase someone wants to disagree in a question/answer form.

1. Yes. For some reason I like taking random quizzes online.
2. I myself get good average results, but I've never seen the results for people I know in real life so I can't say how it works for others. Sometimes the questions are worded in a way that you're not quite sure what's being asked. Sometimes you have a too limited set of answers.
3. Normally the results I get are what I basically agree with. I don't recall anything really off.

______

1. Do you wake up to an alarm in the morning? Is it difficult to do?
2. How much do you socialize with your coworkers?
3. Does a hot, sunny day in the midst of rainy weather make you feel like partying?

1. When I have to get up early, yes. I end up lying in bed for about ten to fifteen minutes before actually getting up, though.
2. When I was working at Telltale, quite a lot. Dammit, I miss them.
3. Makes me feel more like going for a walk, actually.

3. Do you prefer crying alone or with someone else, and why?

  1. I witnessed a high-speed, roll-over accident though my rear-view mirror that I had narrowly escaped being a part of. I made a few decisions in the 20 seconds prior that got me out of the congestion (I was barely thinking about it, fixed on the radio interview I was listing to) when all hell broke loose behind me. The car that didn't check their six while changing lanes missed me by inches as it swung perpendicular to freeway traffic, and would have been the car in front of me had I not made the above mentioned change decisions. Makes ya think. It upset me for quite awhile. It was dusk and there were a lot of visuals that I still remember vividly.
  2. Every day I read a world news articles and wonder about the real intentions behind some of them.
  3. Alone. I tend to squelch if I know someone will see--the wracking sobs have pretty much happen in private.

More like a modified socialism. A lot of that broke down as the various series progressed and capitalism crept in, like the promenade on DS9 and many episodes from TNG.

Socialism came back in a big way for Voyager, but that was out of the necessity of their plight. Still, it was a big boost for all things Roddenberry, and even had the best aliens (including the Borg killers from another dimension that could not be played by human actors, except the one episode where they took human form and their leader was none other than Ray Walston ( RIP 2001), who not only played Piccard's gardening mentor at Starfleet Academy, but also his biggest claim to fame was the lead role in My Favorite Martian with Bill Bixby).

Not a Speck of Trekkie (but I've seen quite a bit of it).

1. Hell no.
2. Nothing major. All three involved cars that were barely moving.
3. Very rarely. And only if you call getting all 10 Star Trek movies for $60 a foolish purchase, booyah!

  1. A car in the 90s using high-tech stock proceeds that would have become worth much, much more if I'd let it sit. Still, who knew?
  2. Sure. Money can provide for you things that you are happy about for the moment, but...
  3. Ye ol' cliche is true: you can't buy happiness. You buy needs, and if you're fortunate enough to be able to buy the occassional toy, it can placate your worries and concerns for a time and make you happy. I dig my Lava Lamps, fer instance. I just wish I hadn't pulled out the plastic the other day when I was surfing while innebriated and bought a Laserpod.

That's cool. Lemme ask some questions for you.

1. Do you ever forget to ask questions after posting answers?
2. How do you like the city/village/cave system you live in?
3. You evolve into a higher life-form. The name homo-superior is already taken. What do you call your species?
