He co-wrote a number of hits with Ed Robertson, like One Week, and Ed started writing a number of hits of his own, including Another Postcard and Bank Job. Both of them have written more serious, heart-felt numbers that most folks haven't heard. I'd love to play you some.

1. Never count the rewrites ~ Richard Curtis
2. The original had something, the one with Rene Russo had Rene Russo (hotcha) and the one with Jet Li had Jet Li. Otherwise, I could take it or leave it. Especially Joe Pesce.
3. No.

1. Dishes, followed by cooking.
2. Metropolis Fallen.
3. That sentence makes little sense. If everyone likes them, wouldn't I? And really, there are few 'universally acclaimed' musicians that I either don't have a grudging respect for, or think is total crap. I do really like Paul McCartney, though.

I think I miss the 7os ad 80s, but only a little. The 90s were interesting, but I really don't want to go back there. And I wouldn't completely mind redoing this decade. But over all, I really just want to get to the good parts, which mostly haven't happened yet.
2. New York City, Toronto, or Vancouver.
3. 39. Feels longer than that.

1. If you haven't spoken to her yet, you really should start. Try smiling at her. Compliment her hair (if she's not bald or frizzy). Tell her she has beautiful eyes. Something. Be genuine. Find something to comment about. She ran to catch the bus. congratulate her. She has the same iPod as you; compliment her taste in electronics. Be Thougthful. That's the point, you know.
2. Not only possible, but pretty much Working As Intended. It comes with age, and it's a gradual thing. You'll see.
3. Publishing a few novels, a game or two, and a few albums of music. Plus starting that hippy commune with all my favourite people.

2. When was the last time you ate so much junk food it made you feel sick?

1. Well, thanks to the internet, you can read about someone and get a pretty good impression of who they are, if you're a particularly insightful kind of person, and if they're at all honest with themselves when they write things on the internet. Oh, and the occasional photograph in various states of undress help, too.
2. Well, I haven't binged to excess in some time, but I did fairly recently eat a handful of Whoppers (chocolate malted candies) and they gave me a bit of a stomach ache.
3. Blade Runner. Followed by Brazil.

1. Hmm tough one but if you are talking about rules as in law and stuff, then none, then again I could kill for my girlfriend or my kids, but the situation would have to be pretty F#¤ked up for that to happend I suppose, I belive that human beings are capable of the most wierd and unrealistic stuff if put in the right(wrong) situation..
2. I think my favorit games (old Lucasarts stuff) are my favorites because it dosent make to much sense pr say...
3.I have a love relationship with London, spent a couple of weeks there a few years ago, 4 trips or so in 5 months, was on the east end one trip, a few where I lived in the sentrum and the last one I was abit outside Kingston, absolutly love London all the people, the differences, the beer and well theaters (went to see Wicked live, spectacular show!) apart from that I would like to see New York and Barcelona, preferably a week or atleast a long weekend!

Also Lee, Canada is more or less European, they are socialists, they have the same Queen as England, half of those whacko's speak french (I guess not half) and you share the same "hatred" towards America** as alot of Europe

** I dont hate America, I kinda like it, it's just the wierd stuff and oposits that I find err, wierd?

1. Yes, and that person in question has convinced me to let go of a few of those rules entirely.
2. The Last Express would probably qualify.
3. Prague. I'd like to stay there for a couple of days, then hop on a train to another European city, and so on. Preferably with a dear friend, but I wouldn't object terribly to a solo trip.

1. Environmental Catastrophe isn't something hysterical tree huggers invented to scare people into petitioning and boycotting heavy industry. It's not a Luddite movement. Change is coming, even if we suddenly stop poisoning the environment now. the only choice we have now is to make changes so we can safely adapt to the environment as it becomes less hospitable to humans.

Make no mistake; the world is not in jeopardy. It will keep going, and life on Earth will adapt, and the damage we've done will slowly undo itself and set some new balance. The problem is us: we may not be able to survive the changes. As clever as we are, we're not very good at working as a species to live with the environment, and we may wind up starving or suffocating ourselves, if the freak hurricanes don't finally wipe us out.

< /rant>
2. Speaking for myself, I'm not sure I'd want to get stuck in either, but I think I'd settle for Monkey Island first. Especially if Deirdra chose the same, which seems a safe bet.
3. My favourite used to be Dennis Miller. I haven't really kept up with stand-up lately, but I'd say these days I'm somewhere between Robin Williams and Eddie Izzard.

These answers vary over time, but this is how I'd answer at this point in time.

1.
Atlas Sound - Walkabout (featuring Noah Lennox)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojMh_...eature=related

2.
Yo La Tengo - Today is the Day
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az3SHeMHC6c
or
most songs by the Cocteau Twins.

3.
Primal Scream - MBV Arkestra (If They Move Kill 'Em)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpjrZMlqLqI

__

1. What did you think of my above answers?
2. If I like someone (and have talked to them before) how the hell do you initiate?
3. Did you expect the themes of question 2 to crop up in my questions?

1. The first and second one are pretty-sounding. Third one has some free jazz-like brass stuff, which is pretty awesome, but the electronic elements don't really appeal to me as much.
2. Initiate what? Oh, you mean a date? Just ask them "do you want to [do something fun where you can hang out in a more or less neutral location, preferably in the afternoon]?" If the object of your affection responds favourably, proceed from there; if not, move on with the rest of your life. Of course, you may want to wait for Lee to answer this question, since he does a much better Cyrano de Bergerac than I do.
3. You are extremely predictable, Hammy, but that's why we love you!

---

1. What's the best April Fools Day thing you've seen on the internet today?
2. What's the most groan-worthy?
3. You're trying to get some work done and there are annoying construction noises keeping you from concentrating. How do you rectify the situation?

1- Kotaku being taken over by Activision and becoming Koticku
2- Telltale developing the rest of Bone games. I know that's impossible as they no longer hold the rights but still made me sad.
3- If I suspect the noise is above regulation standards I'll call the Police. If not I'll damage my ears listening to loud classic rock on my iPoor while working.

1. Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show, which I hold at least partially responsible for my picking the tuba as my band instrument in junior high.
2. How much younger? The time periods of which I have fondest memories are 1997-98, 2000-01, and 2006, all of which took place after I hit puberty. Childhood wasn't bad in the grand scheme of things, but wasn't all that exciting, either.

1. Depends I dont mind them to much in big open arease, but I do hate when they stand inside the tube entrance hallway, since well it makes alot of noise that is carried wierdly trough 50meters of not to much space.. (Also I hate when they are located in outdoor streets where there are to many people walking and they gather a crowd blocking the whole street!)
2. hubba hubba *grin* I dont think I would really have any issues witht that tbh, I might have to shut myself in abit more, unless the women are less womany when talking
3. Romantic Comedy? oh dear lord, a woman walks by and I get hit by the buss becuase I look at here while walking, thankfully she is the nurse at my hospitall (ok, this sounds like naughty nurses 5 I know, but it aint!!)

1- Formula 1 and Ferrari respectively.
2- A few times, usually to study for an exam.
3- I used to be. A few years ago I could wake up 5 a.m and fell rested and well. But now I rarely find myself at my best during the morning.

1. Sorry man, I'm so busy with this reinstall, taking the few extra minutes to play strange music at my wife just isn't int he cards. i trust Squinky's take, though.
2. Sorry I didn't get in here earlier. Did I already tell you the bit about finding something to talk about, like her shoes or hair or the way she just managed to catch the bus before it pulled away? Once you've gotten a friendly introduction, start asking her about things you hope to have in common, and if she prefers something that isn't one of your favourites, be diplomatic and think of something complimentary to say about her choice, despite it not being yours. Ultimately, what you're trying to do is give her the sense that you are actually genuinely interested in her as a person. And if you aren't really that interested in her... well, be honest with yourself and either let her go or make your play and deal with the consequences of your dishonesty.
3. Well, you don't always go on about meeting girls, but it is a fairly regular theme.

1 & 2. I don't remember seeing anything April Fools related, good or bad, until the day was almost over and the jokes worn thin.
3. Put on headphones and crank up something that motivates you and drowns them out. this only works if you actually enjoy loud music on occasion.

1. Love em' as long as they're good or have a cool schtick.
2. Probably very. I work well with women.
3. Andy comes into my room and tucks me in before leaving to meet with the writers group.

1. Don't have one, but when I was a kid, i was a big Montreal Canadiens fan.
2. I've called in when I wasn't falling over dead, but I usually feel pretty crummy on the days when I call in at all. I don't always get to stay home and rest as planned, though.

  1. I've only ever had an employer once, and that was for a short period of time which went smoothly.
  2. Sure, all the time. When I'm working on games, that's kind of the status quo. I push through it.
  3. No. But I'm not the right person to ask, seeing as how I'm not a fan of most popular music.

  1. What can't possibly be the answer to question 2?
  2. What is the answer to question 1?
  3. Are at least two of your answers to these three questions incorrect?

1. One time, I burst into tears in front of one of my producers. He handled it nicely, all things considered, but it's still not an approach I recommend.
2. Yeah. I'm getting less of them these days than I did a few months ago, which I'm sure is a good sign.
3. I saw an eightysomething Dave Brubeck in concert a couple of years ago. That was rockin' and in 5/4 time, to boot.

1. The answer to question 1.
2. That which can't possibly be the answer to question 2.
3. Question 2 results in a contradiction. Make of that what you will.

1. What's your favourite piece of music in a non-standard time signature?
2. Is there a type of food you hated when you were a kid but love now?
3. When you were in high school (or at least of that age), how would your peers have reacted if a fellow student wanted to take a same-sex partner to the prom?
