1. Unconditional companionship and pleasant randomness.
2. Probably not. I think we're all insecure about our bodies to one degree or another. Mas media is largely at fault for this, but I think it stems from some pretty deep human psychology issues. We just place far too much emphasis on our personal appearances.
3. Personally, I don't think it's justifiable, but I suspect that sometimes it's necessary. That probably sounds contradictory. I think mass murderers and serial killers need to be put down or somehow dealt with permanently, for the sake of humanity. I don't think it's a noble thing. I think it's something that should only be done in extreme circumstances. I don't think it should be decided by just any old judge. I think it should be carefully considered and decided on by a very high office, like a tribunal or a Supreme court justice. Most capital punishment is wrong. I suspect it would be a better world if we had a better way of dealing with truly dangerous criminals.

1. No. I have been given a pet that I didn't want, but Lucky's family now. He's all the family we have now.
2. I'm reminded of Porno For Pyros' song, 'Pets'. I think the Atlantean High Sorcerors will come back for us someday, after we've domesticated ourselves.

There's nothing wrong with priding oneself on being well-read and highly educated. There's only something wrong if you look down on people who don't have the education you have. IMHO, anyway.

  1. Yes, because it's security and that's important, and it can lead to better things later that benefit from the background. Some call it due paying.
  2. Oh Squinks, that changes from day to day. Earlier, I was hankering for a certain taco truck in North Seattle that has some fantaistic stuff.

Since Not A Speck Of Cereal Didn't Write.. sorry, didn't write any questions:
  1. Who's a more interesting character (and why): Jack Bauer or Dr. Gregory House?
  2. Have you come across a story which you disliked purely because of its unlikeable protagonist(s)?
  3. What's your opinion on serialized storytelling (in any medium you care to answer the question for)?

1. Definitely Jack Bauer, especially this season.
2. On that subject, yeah, the first season of 24. Frankly, Jack Bauer's wife can't die fast enough for me.
3. I like it. I think it's a good way to get a story out there, whether it be in movies, video games, comics books, or what have you.

~~~
1. Would you say that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few?
2. Should the necessary action always be taken, regardless of the implications?
3. Do the ends justify the means?
Question 2's redundant, I think. It's the same as 3.
1. If you're talking about outweighing in terms of quantity, then the answer is yes by definition. If you're talking about outweighing in terms of importance, then generally yes as well.
2. If there's something wrong with the implications, is the action still necessary?
3. Not necessarily.
1. If someone is offended by something you say that you genuinely don't mean any offense by, do you react in a hostile manner?
2. Have you ever felt deep hatred for a fictional character?
3. Twitter or Facebook?
1. This happens to me every now and then. I usually make my excuses and say I didn't mean to offend. So the short answer is 'no.'
2. Oh yes. Ann from Paradise.
3. Twitter seems much more interesting to me.
1. I think I wold have a strong yearning for all the things I'm missing out on, but still would cope and do the best of the situation I have.
2. I'd cope without problem I'm sure.
3. Yes I have, and you know it
And my daughter's medical condition is sort of a handicap although not visible yet. With growing age, her hearing will deteriorate and she'll most likely will have a hearing aid by the time she's 35.
I'd like to see more answers to these interesting questions.
1. I’m not really sure; with my heart I have a small murmur ….. But that is not really a handicap. I just try not to get stressed out b/c that is when my heart acts up.
2. I hate needles so for me that would be torture, having that looming over my head. I know that it would be for my health and safety but it would still bother me.
1. I complain to everyone who wants to listen, I make lists of all the things I have to do so I can work on them one by one, and I usually do nothing for an hour before I go to bed.
2. I browse the internet and watch TV.
1. I wouldn't, because bodies deteriorate and die with time anyway, so what's the point?
1. That's an interesting thought. I never got paid to go out on a date.
2. Mature men are the scariest creatures in the world. They don't play anymore, and as soon as men don't play anymore they get dangerous. I don't know about mature women though. I guess it's the same for them.
