Yeah, drinking water should help, but then again I don't usually have a hangover (my head for liquor isn't that good, so I don't have to drink much to get pretty drunk). I usually stop when I'm having still fun, it's not fun to be too drunk anyway.

Not too long ago, I drank a glass of bubbly much too fast. Literally gulped it. Strangely, everything started to seem much happier. And I didn't get a hangover, which convinces me that moderation is the trick.

Well of course. You should never get "drunk," just get to that point when you loosen up and start feeling really nice... as I said the trick is to make sure you don't rush it, because it takes time for the effect to catch up and if you're not careful you could overdo it.

But that's the whole problem there. You start to feel really good, everything other people say is hilarious, no matter what they're saying... Needless to say, it becomes difficult to keep yourself from pouring just one more glass... and another. And another.

Is that Ricky Martin chopped up in there? He's really living La Vida Loca now.

I saw him in Les Miserables ten years ago. He would've been a lot tastier then.

Being fairly sensitive to the effects of alcohol, I follow a rule that always works for me. Intersperse each alcoholic drink with at least 20 oz of water.
So water does make a difference.
There was a time when I could handle a few drinks at a time. The day I got a hangover while I was still partying made it clear that I either had to stop, or do something different. Later on in life I started to get migraines instead of hangover symptoms, so even now I rarely have a drink more than once a month. It's just not worth the possible outcome.

Yes, about sixteen times, I think. Thankfully, it never gets old.

Nah, that doesn't bother me. I just find it unfair that one forumite gets to hog another forumite.

Well, if you wanted quality time with Lee, why didn't you just say so? I'll be willing to share him, so long as he gets back to me in one piece...

Gah. One sight of his hairdo would be enough to send me running, and screaming.
