Welcome back Marte!

Thanks Jelena, rlpw, and tsa. I know my health is important, and I am working on it and having doctors oversee me. I'm actually still around the same weight, but I was really sick and didn't want to eat anything for days. Thanks for your concern, though.

I super-glued it back together, so it's not a huge deal anymore. It just upset me a little bit. I'm not very sick anymore, though, and have been eating.

I don't think Fantasie is upset because of the ring Jelena. At least, that's how I read her post.

Actually, I was upset about the Ring. I know the loosing weight is upsetting, but I'm still around the same mark that I've been.

O, sorry Fantasie. Thanks for clearing that up. Can you mend the ring?

Not really. It's made of Tungston Carbide, which makes it hard for jewelers to mend it. I think the super-glue will hold, which is fine.

How are you doing today, tsa? Hopefully no pain.

I am doing really well, thank you! Pain Boy is on vacation, or at least banned by the pain medication, and since I stopped taking one particular pill I don't feel so tired anymore all the time.

diabetic ketoacidosis is where the body cannot process sugar in the bloodstream then starts breaking down fats for fuel releasing ketone that causes the person to dehydrate and pass out. There used to be an almost 100% death rate from this but it has gone down to like 5%

My boyfriend has Diabetes type 1, aka his body does not produce insulin at all. So he has to wear a pump 24/7 which gives it to him (this is an alternative to the shots some people take).

Seen him both to high on sugar (which makes him throw up etc) and seen him way to low on sugar (which makes him basically act like a 2 year old, without a brain). Sounds harsh, but the brain does not function without sugar.

Because of a bureaucratic error (not mine, thank you very much), I will now have to repeat a 12-hour process to ensure that 12,000 corrected tax forms are sent out to students in time. Why, oh why, didn't they tell me this a week ago?!

Dear Blog
Skyped with Johan for 50 minutes this morning. (Evening to him). He truly has the time of his life. Yesterday they went to see the Mardi Gras Gay Parade in Sydney. It was spectacular.

My daughter is leaving for Paris tomorrow morning. Her French class is going there for a week to see the sights, eat frog legs and speak French.

And Mr J and I are at home.
