Dude, it's the prep, that's the sell. Bail now.

Dear Blogonation,

I find that the higher I rise in corporate america, the more disconnected I am from the business and processes of 'what we do', and I am once again at odds with that, mainly because I do not have sufficient enough staff to 'do that for me' that I can trust. And so I must continue to get my hands dirty to resolve brush fires, in the face of so many PowerPoint presentations to placate the leadership team, and therefore do so less proficiently at either.

And it is also not available in the US. The only way to get sufficient power in a Jeep in the US is to have it refitted with a Hemi 5.7 VVT for $22000 or have one built from a kit from Egypt with a 2.8 VM Motori CRD Diesel (See AEV J8 Jeep)

Speaking of American vehicles...

If all goes well, I'll be bidding on this at the end of the month. It's not the 5-ton model like I was looking for, but it's decent.

Dear blog,

Today was my final day at the Donders Institute where I have been doing my final internship. It is weird to leave for the last time, not knowing whether I will return there. I don't like things like leaving and saying goodbye. My father always told me that 'partir est mourir une peu', and indeed, leaving the Donders family makes me feel sad.

But, on the bright side, there are now already two possibilities of getting a job, at the Donders. The first is the application I've mentioned before. I should here something about that in August. The second is a position as research assistant which may be called into existance over a few months. As I have done similar research, I'll be the first to know if that position is open.

So, now I have vacation until I have a job. Pretty weird not to know when free time ends.

It's sad how many good games get cancelled. Totems was the #1 thing I was expecting back then (Mirror's Edge was just a consolation prize, though then proved to be so awesome). Of course you never know what it would've been like in the end, but it sure looked good in the previews. Too bad no one picked it up after the company went bankrupt.

C'est la vie, I suppose.

It's this picture that always gripped me:

Mr J and I were planning on leaving for a week's boat trip, but there's a gale warning for tomorrow so we'll have to postpone our departure.
I don't know why that depresses me so.

Dear Aggie:

Been having trouble focussing on getting work done lately. I'm slowly arriving at the conclusion that my medication dosage isn't strong enough after all, which comes at a bad time, as I just saw my doctor to renew my medications yesterday. *le sigh*

I've got two novels I'm trying to get to work on, plus I'm seriously thinking of diving into the rewrites for my first completed novel, because it's starting to bug me that I have two finished novels and neither of them are publishable yet.

I also am doing some design work for a friend, and hope to finally get some results for her to look over, but my brain isn't cooperating, so the ideas I'm trying to implement are taking longer than they reasonably ought to for someone who has been doing this as long as I have. Either that, or I've grown alarmingly rusty in the last handful of months. Nevertheless, I will get the work done. Just kvetching a little. Dumb brainmeats. Work!

Okay, enough babble. Thank you, Aggie. You're still a great listener.

Thank you Trepsie...... the corner report is not complete yet. All I know is that he passed in his sleep this morning.

Do you remember one of my uncles passing almost 2 years ago? This is his twin. So I have one Uncle left........ In the past 2 years I have had 2 uncles, grandfather and a grandmother pass........ I need a break.
