Just to go with the Ramadan thread, I'd like to wish a happy Rosh Hashana to all you practicing adventure-game-playing Jews out there. I'm not much of a believer in these things, but it is my birthday today, so at least I've got something to celebrate!

No, "Yom Kippur" means "worst day of the year". The only thing I like about the traditional Rosh Hashana is that it's not Yom Kippur. (Yom Kippur is a week from now.) At least I made it through these past two days in one piece.

Yom is "day", and Kippur is I guess some other word that follows "day." Definitly not party though. There's not much of that in Judaism.
