It can produce images such as this and this. Ain't that lovely?

I think art is not to be explained, but felt.
Which does not mean it coudln't have a meaning.

Art salvages truth.

Well, kids, in honour of my twenty-first annual commemoration of umbilical cord severance, I bring you Facetious Nonsense: An Adventure in Text. Enjoy.

Of course, I expect pretentious verbal diarrhoea-filled critiques galore. I sincerely hope I won't be disappointed in this regard.

My wife and I are just starting a creative venture: hand-decorated furniture. I've set up some examples on our website and we're just getting some stock ready to auction on ebay...

I choked on my breakfast eggs while playing this. Weelllll, more like on the bun and margarine that came with them, but: sssh! Don't tell anyone. Fair enough?

edit: What!? It's your birthday? Why isn't there a thread for this? I take everything back. Ok?

My latest creative venture was dropped in the toilet this morning. Sometimes art stinks.

Well, that's not quite the pompous critique I was expecting, but anyway... thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

There, that's more like it. Now, if it were just a teeny bit more pretentious, it would be perfect.

Oh okay

I can write better than that while taking a dump in the loo!!! this drival that you conjured in your mildly post adolescent brain is beneath mediocrity and you should consider a new profession in the food service or custodial occupations to save everyone from having to suffer from your useless slug like ramblings!

better?

Yes. The first sentence needs a little work; a true art critic would never use more than one exclamation mark in a sentence, for starters. Other than that, however, you're doing quite well. Consider my birthday wishes fulfilled.

By the way, SSH, you wife's name is AWESOME! I'm assuming you prefer to call her Mary or something like that, though...

Actually, that's a shortened version of her name on the website! Her full name is:

First name*: Maria de los Angeles
Middle name: Beatriz
Father's surname**: Montequin
Mother's surname**: de la Vega
Married unofficial*** extension: de MacCormack

In total, which the poor vicar at our wedding had to say: Maria de los Angeles Beatriz Montequin de la Vega (de MacCormack)

* shortened to Marian, although I call her "Guapa", usually
** In Spain, people have two surnames, their father's first surname, then their mother's first surname
*** You cannot change your name in Spain, even when you get married, but some women use the "de" (of) extension to signify their husband's surname, and if referring collectively to a couple you might say "Señor y Señora de MacCormack"

And so, my daughters are named:

Alba Daniela Maria MacCormack Montequin
Sara Andrea Iona MacCormack Montequin

And the pronunciation of Montequin is Mon-t'-keen, btw...

Here's a movie I made around 5 years ago that's been on ifilm ever since. Someone managed to post it on youtube somehow (I'm still not sure how), so here's the youtube version since ifilm is a horrible horrible website. And yes, I stole most of the music from Requiem. And no, it's not exactly "new media." And yes, I've made several other films since this one, but not a single one is online, so that's all I got!

Oh, and it's only 7 and a half minutes in case you're debating whether it's worth watching.
