I know a lot of singers and musicians who aren't particularly creative. Particularly the former. It only requires creativity to be a good singer or musician .

never having a partner is cool too, its about what you look for in a girl, guy or in between. As for music it's not that I don't like music, I like music just had a bad experience with a musician. I try not to base friendships or relationships against one another b/c it causes problems. I try and take each person as they are and talk about what we have in common. I have few friends, my sister -n- law says its b/c I'm mean and crusty and no one wants to get to close b/c they are afraid that I might bite them. But the truth be told I try and not let a whole lot of people get to close b/c I don’t want my feeling hurt.

*gives pinkgothic a slightly alarmed look*

Erm, uh, did I accidentally say something wrong, Pink?

Anyhoo. Yes, I know that being a singer/musician doesn't automatically make you creative. I just meant that out of the subset of guys who *are* creative, I seem to find singers/musicians the most fun.

Admittedly I've hung out mostly with barbershoppers and Broadway-type singers and musicians, so I've had a lot of good experiences. My roommate in particular I adore (well, most of the time).

Peace & Luv, Liz

I was going to post in this thread, aswell as respond to your question, however, it seems I am quite... dead. Sorry.

I look at her eyes and her smile. A willingness to smile is a plus. Also, because of my physical limitations, I often have to turn up the personality to compensate...which is fine by me, as I love to make people laugh. Spontanaeity doesn't hurt either, but there's a fine line between "free spirit" and "psychotic obsessive loner". lol

I also look at how she responds to the world around her. A woman who comes off as compassionate toward others, aware of more than just her place in the present surroundings, is infinitely more fascinating than someone who is vain, or unable to show empathy. And having her own opinions, not just agreeing with what she thinks you want to hear. An appreciation of life's little moments as well...I'm big on stopping to smell the roses.

My husband said that was the first thing that he noticed about me were my eyes. He said that they fascinates him...... probley b/c one of them is blue the other one is 1/2 brown and 1/2 green. I asked my dad one time when I went to get my drivers license what color should I put for eye color he said "just pick a color it won’t matter b/c you better not get pulled over" . The way I worded that makes it sound like I have 3 eyes ..... nope just 2 like everyone else. But that’s nice that you notice her face and her smile that very nice.

I like facial hair, I like the long "speed bumps" is what I call them. If you watch American Chopper, like the ones Paul Sr. has.

Ah. That style of moustache is called a "Fu Manchu". I'm quite a fan of them myself.

What does never having a partner have to do with it? That's all the more reason to look at men/women/animals/whatever gets you excited.

Personally, I've been in a very happy relationship for nearly a year and a half now, but I find that I still can't stop staring at women, even when I'm with my girlfriend.

In all honesty, I'd say it's the tits first (they create a nice focal point - hey, I'm only human), then the stomache, if it's exposed, then the face, then maybe the legs or something. At that point I just improvise. Like any straight man alive, I appreciate a good looking woman (a man who tells you otherwise is lying), but the only thing that could ever pull me in past the point of staring is personality. Intelligence, sense of humour and all the rest. These are the only traits that would actually have a lasting effect on me and truly make me like someone.

Now call me shallow, but if I'm in a bar and a couple of girls sit down at the next table and only one of them is reasonably attractive, I'm going to approach her first. Like she's some kind of magnet. If I find out she's boring/dumb, I'll move on to the next. I know it sounds simple, but I think it's a pretty basic human approach to these things.

My favourite facial hair is a small beard (I think it's called goatee) together with a moustache. If the hair is turning grey it's even better.
