Default Movie trailer with an easter egg

Here's the trailer for Mel Gibson's next movie, Apocalypto.

What's so special about this? you might ask.
Well, here's the thing:

Watch the trailer until you see this monkey:

It's just for a brief moment, so be alert. It's about two thirds into the trailer.

Now, if you pause at the monkey, and go a couple of frames back (use the buttons on the bottom right), you're in for a surprise.

I've seen that egg before.
Spoiler:
Does Mel have no fashion sense? That salt-and-pepper grizzly beard is hideous. Get a shave already!

Damn!!! That is a brilliant marketing technique! I sat through that whole trailer watching every scene intently for that stupid monkey. Basically, because they included that one frame then "leaked" the info onto the net, they have to be getting millions of extra hits. The trailer didn't do much for me and I very likely will never see the movie but I'll be damned if I didn't just watch a trailer for it that I never would have otherwise. Someone give the guy who thought of that a diet caffeine free coke. Brilliant.

I saw it and was much impressed when the trailer first came out.
Spoiler:
I was disappointed to see he seems to have lost the beard. Where are the newspaper reports condemning that?

Ha ha ha, that was a really fun gimmick. I've seen the trailer many times because I'm really looking forward to this movie, but I didn't know about the easter egg.
