Default Who is you favorite comedian? And why?

I have two, Carlos Mencia on comedy central and Pablo Francisco (who I am going to see tonight at the comedy club).

Carlos because he is very straight forward and he doesn’t hold anything back. Pablo Francisco because he can laugh at himself and make jokes about everyday stuff.

I can never be sure, I like the British alternative comedy scene of the '80s, '90s so that'd be people like Steve Coogan, Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson, Rowan Atkinson, Chris Morris, Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson
and the list does go on.

Mark Thomas is my favourite. Not many comedians bring a tank to McDonalds, get 3rd world generals to do silly stuff at an arms fair (like wave their arms about), kidnap 20 arms dealers on a fake tour, and set up air balloon rides over a US spy base in Britain using a local law loophole. Most recently for Channel 4's Dispatches he got a group of English school children and others from Ireland to deal in arms over the phone. The Irish girls bought a stone thrower from Israel and got to test it out in Ireland.

There's also Rob Newman, David Baddiel, Paul Merton, Jimmy Carr, Russell Brand, Ricky Gervais, Omid Djalili, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, Lewis Black, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Dennis Leary, and George Carlin to name a few.

Jeff Foxworthy without a doubt, because we come from basically the same place and have many experiences and observations in common.

Scott Kennedy for the same reasons, albeit for a different set of experiences and observations.

Anyway, my fave is....oh wait, I don't have one, most of them suck.

So you're not a huge Jeff Foxworthy fan, then?

Truth to be told, I'd pictured you as a Carlos Mencia fan.

Hmmm, not sure. Three long stand up pieces that I was constantly laughing my ass off through when I first heard them were Denis Leary's No Cure For Cancer, Robin Williams Live On Broadway and Jerry Seinfeld's I'm Telling You For The Last Time. Jeremy Hotz seemed very funny at first, but he seems kind of inconsistent, or maybe his humour was just kind of juvenile. Bill Hicks is not all that funny, but is very interesting, quatable and insightful... well, in a pointlessly hateful kind of way.

Currently, my favorite comedian is George W(MD) Bush. I have never seen a bigger clown in my life.

That is quite cool.

I prefer his older stuff when he used to loads of silly songs as well as comedy.

For Example (Caution naughty words)

http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/..._scotsman.html

But his stand up is hilarious

Dennis Leary is great as well.

Young man, are you tired of the scouts,
I said young man, do you want to get out?
I said Young man, we will knock you about,
it'll be OK, why worry
Young man, you'll be one of the gang,
I said young man, things will go with a bang,
I said young man, you will soon get the hang of it,
it will be OK, why worry

Young man, you will soon get the knack,
I said young man, you'll be copping your whack
I said young man, we will bend over backwards to
make you feel you're wanted.

In the Brownies, everybody is your friend.
In the Brownies, they're all waiting round the bend.
In the Brownies, sticking with you to the end.
In the Brownies, in the Brownies,

In the Brownies, everybody goes to camp.
In the Brownies, there is nothing like a tramp.
In the Brownies, grab your mouth organ and
In the Brownies, in the Brownies.

Young man, stop bumming around.
I said young man, keep your ear to the ground.
I said young man, now's the time to go down,
to your local branch and join us.

Young man, stop looking behind.
I said young man, you know you're going to find.
I said young man, you're sure to go blind,
if you don't eat up your carrotts.

In the Brownies, you won't be tying many knots.
In the Brownies, you'll enjoy a certain lot.
In the Brownies, you can give it your best shot.
In the Brownies, in the Brownies.

In the Brownies, a canteen that never shuts.
In the Brownies, never any ifs or buts.
In the Brownies, ginger beer and fruit and nuts.
In the Brownies, in the Brownies.

They want you, they want you, they want you as a new recruit.
They want you, they want you, they want you as a new recruit.

In the Brownies, in the Brownies.

Bill Bailey. Because he's slighly surreal and a highly talented musician.

Check out his website for some samples of his stuff. I recommend the cockney rendition of Lady in Red (3rd disc in the dicography) and the Male Joke Format (video clip in the downloads section)

Watch out for the guitar playing badger.

Monty Python is not funny. I watched Holy Grail last week, and I barely cracked a smile. Overrated.
