Currently 18% at RottenTomatos.com, that's less than the DOOM movie.

It might be worth noting that a lot of America's reviewers at least didn't like the book either.

EDIT: I'm not defending the movie in any way. I haven't read the book or seen the movie (which I probably won't till it comes to the movie channels). But still, it might be worth seeing if you enjoyed the book.

Every review i've read in the Uk says it's turgid.

Kinda like the book then.

Although my sister and Brother in law loved it. Go figure.

i REALLY want to see this film. all the things i've heard about it are making me more and more anxious. blasphemy, boredom and very banal? can it really be all that bad?

It's entertaining schlock. I imagine at least some of the reviews are backlash since admitting you like the book these days seems to count as an "idiot brand," but the movie it a big dumb adventure-thriller.

I think it was great. The "chase-scenes" wasn't as thrilling as they were in the book and the romantic bound between Langdon and Sophie was left out in the movie (and I can't imagine why). But the fact that they actually showed the templars and all that was really great (in the book the characters talks about it but it was amazing to actually see it all in the movie). My advice is to read the book and see the movie. They are both great.

It was hardly mentioned in the book, and it didn't add anything either.

Are you kidding? Read the last piece in the chapter before the Epilogue once again.

As far as adding anything, it depends on how you interprite the meaning of the Prieuréns. Worshiping the female and the bounding between man and woman. To preserve jesus bloodline...come on now...

Tacking it on at the last minute, does not a good love story make. If the love story was developed throughout the whole book. Then, maybe it would've worked. But as far as the current implementation, I liked the film version of the "love" story, much better.

I haven't read the book, and I liked the movie a lot.

Sure, it has some awkward moments, especially near the end, but overall it's fun, well done, has nice actors... yep, liked it a lot.

I hear that it's very disppointing when compared to the book, but hey, I don't care.

Hmmm, should I go see it today? The only reason I'd see it is for Audrey, I adore her. Just to see her on the big screen would be worth the matinee price.

I have an unreasonable disdain for the book and therefore I won't see the movie.

I haven't even READ the book. Yes, I am an idiot sometimes.
