I love tacos with every part of my body. Especially my mouth.

Hehe! Ya big flirt!

No, Cinco de Mayo (literally "fifth of May") is a holiday that celebrates Mexico winning it's independence from Spain...sort of a Mexican analogy to the US's July 4th.
It's a great excuse for a party, particularly since it falls on a Friday this year.

Okay then, victory over France (?!?) instead of independence from Spain.
Thanks for the link, Mel. You'll probably have to post it again for me next year.
France? What are the odds on that one?
You may now resume partying.

Yeah, our independence day is September 16th.

The weird thing about May 5th is we don't celebrate it here in Mexico as much as you do in the US. We just get the day off and that's it, beer is optional

Apparently in Mexico, you also don't pronounce the date in Spanish when speaking English.

And peasants alike, you can make your own tacos for cents around here.

Sorry about that, I've to stay in "English mode" if I don't want to screw up what I'm writing
Also, we actually call the day "DÃ*a de la Batalla de Puebla"="Battle of Puebla Day".
