Default famous music schools?

I need the name of a music school (college) comparable to Julliard, preferably something in Europe. It's for something I'm writing. The line is:

"My grandmother has molded hundreds of children into pianists, a few who even went on to Julliard and [another music school], but of the three children she raised, only my mother stuck with it."

Any ideas? I don't need to know anything about the school -- just need a name to plug in.

Not much help I´m afraid, but could you just google Musical Academy of London/other big city.
We have a Musical Academy in Stockholm, but those who really get big in classical music generally study elsewhere as well.

Google turned up several "Music Conservatory of..." entries, but I have no idea if any one is particularly more famous than any other.

I think I'm going to go with the Music Conservatory of Paris unless someone has a better idea. I have to send this out tomorrow.

If there were an outstanding school, like Juilliard I´m sure I would have heard of it.

Please, please, please call it the Paris Conservatoire instead .

Or go with the Royal College of Music, London if you want an English example .

What is this text for, anyway? Because that might have an effect on what you want to mention.

Initially I assumed it's her novel in progress, but the "I have to send this out tomorrow." part left me thinking it is not.

Yes, it's for the novel. I'm applying to a conference and sending one of the chapters with my application. I thought the deadline was in June, then checked the papers yesterday and saw that it has to be received by May 10.

Thanks for the suggestion. Royal College of Music sounds pretty prestigious.

Any chance for a forum exclusive excerpt in the future? Please?

Dunno about a forum exclusive excerpt just yet, but in the way of an update, they accepted me into the conference. And I'm sure it had everything to do with having the right name for the music school.

My wife studied piano and piano teaching there. She, alas, is not a famous pianist but a lot of her contemporaries are quite famous. For an AG link, the composer of the music for Broken Sword, Barrington Pheloung, is a graduate of RCM.
