Gday everyone, im new and quick intro
Gday everyone,
I'm new here and i wont bore you all with my personal info its in my profile if you're interested. Just wanted to say hi and make my first forum appearance. I stumbled onto the site through Google while i was searching to see if there was any good new adventure games being made. I've been watching the Vampyre Story website for months in dissapointment and was hoping there was another fix out there. I'm an old Monkey Island fan having played Monkey Island 1 on my AMIGA 500 as a kid. I fell in love with the Genre then and since have been entertained by many adventure games, the highlights of which were the Monkey Island Series, which i think MI II might have been my favourite, but Grim Fandango took the cake for fun in my adult years. Earlier i also enjoyed Loom, The Dig and the Roger Wilco series on my AMIGA 2000. And also Simon The Sorcerer on my friends early PC. I've recently quit almost all games after becoming bored with CS after playing it for almost 6 years straight, and then WoW after a year of hard core playing. I only play Magic ONLINE now which im very into, trying to build an EXT ROCK deck if any of u know magic. Anyway, im busy reading all the new reviews with a hope that i may find a game i can buy in Australia or thru an online store if i have to order from overseas. Any TIPS on the best thing out there that might fall in line with what i've previously enjoyed would be greatly appreciated!! I'm after something VERY story orientated with the best point being the LEAD characters personality. Glad to have found the site... i'll post regularly GoT

Well Telltale seem so be In the spotlight mostly, what with their Steady Releases of Bone Episodes and aquiring the rights to make a Sam and Max Episodic series of games.
Im not too fond of their sound compression methods, but it seems to depend from person to person how noticable the quallity is As for games out just now thats worth getting...Well it depends how long you havent been playing adventure games for, but I'd reccomend Ankh which has just came out recently

Hey mate, Geelong eh? Me too! How's it going?
Hm. You know. Games. Your screen name looks familiar. I think I tried to buy your copy of The Dig a few years ago.

yeah i think u did, i had it on display and had a few people over the 4 years it was there ask if they could purchase it i also had Krang up there though and people offered to buy that (for remarkable prices too, but it was in great Nik). I'm not too fond of Telltale, i tried out Bones before paying for it and didn't like it very much at all, not my type of thing i dont think. i was thinking of trying that new fantasy adventure that's out but i dont really want to if it's going to crash all the time. oh.. and i ALWAYS wear a Helmet GoT

Balance bless you, GoT! I and my friends welcome you to this wonderful place called the
Let me introduce myself. I am the Loony Empress Jazhara of the World, supreme ruler of this planet. Well, humanity. The animals are ruled by the penguins, because they don't care about humans. We're not much of a threat, you know. The Penguins will survive us all, that's for sure. I have to tell you that you have to somehow forget how you found this place. You may remember how to find it, but not how you ended up here in the first place. It's not my idea (for once). You can ask anyone here how they found this place first, and they'll tell you they don't remember. Even *I* can't remember how I first found AdventureGamers! But do not despair, we will aid you with this task. Right now we offer two methods: Mallet-over-the-head and a medicament in experimental phase. You choose! "And if you are lucky, I will find my scalpel soon, in which case Brain Surgery will be another option again." I hope you do, Iggy. Brain surgery was our most popular method. Mallet-over-the-head is okay, but it sometimes takes several tries. -Graaarrr Frazzarhaaaa666 agaaagee agxxeqagrer Gareaagf?- What's Mr. Grue saying? "Now, that's interesting. He says he is suspecting Jazhara666 to have taken the scalpel." Really? Well, that'd explain what she was up to all the time. I thought she was being very silent for an evil twin, lately. We'll have to look into that soon. So, GoT. It seems there might after all be the option for you to choose the Brain Surgery to remove the knowledge of how you found this site. It's performed by my dear foster Angel-Dragon Igrette! You lucky one, you! Oh, and before I forget, take this.*hands GoT an "Ask me about LOOM" badge* We LOOM-natics have to stick together, you know. Don't worry, you're not sane enough to request a loony license yet. Complete sanity and absolute madness are just two extremes on a spectrum which is easily wrought into a circle, making both ends equal. -
