Humbert Humbert, a divorced British professor of French literature, travels to small-town America for a teaching position. He allows himself to be swept into a relationship with Charlotte Haze, his widowed and sexually famished landlady, whom he marries in order that he might pursue the woman's 14-year-old flirtatious daughter, Lolita, with whom he has fallen hopelessly in love, but whose affections shall be thwarted by a devious trickster named Clare Quilty.

Spiwak's thoughts:
Sad to see no release of his older movies, and no love for Lolita or Barry Lyndon. But remastered, and actual special features, and EWS unedited, and everything else about it just makes me orgasm pure gold. Unfortunately, that's being facetious. I'll be fucking poor in October.

There are some VHS copies on ebay stores, like this one.

It has many of the best actors there are in Sweden. One of my favourites is (now deceased) Margaretha Krook.

Don't suppose anyone has any tips on what the best region circumventing solution is. Thinking about importing an American PS2 maybe...

I happily recommend VLC Media Player for anyone looking for the kind of features that don't make it into commercial software.
