I'm 5'4". Sometimes I like my height. Sometimes I hate it.

I actually have no idea, and I also have no tape measure with which to measure myself.

Which just shows how much I find knowing my exact height unnecessary .

Either way, I expected Trep to be taller and, for some reason, tabacco to be smaller. Go figure .

Thinking that short is bad or tall is bad is bullshit. What REALLY matters is posture and composure. When both are good with you, people never notice your height or shortness, they notice your gracefulness and attractiveness.

BTW, SNM, shouldn't the title of this thread be 'Height is more Important than Life Itself'?

Eh, if you start correcting punctuation, you'll never finish.

Back to the topic at hand: I was this tall in the 9th grade. At freshman orientation, the high school basketball coach walked up to me and said "You are signing up for the basketball team this year?" to which I replied "No Sir". He leaned in menacingly and said "Why not?". I answered "Because I don't play basketball". He then said "I can teach you. Sign up." and walked away. I thought this was just a moment of surrealism, and didn't sign up for basketball. I mean, the English teachers didn't insist that I sign up for literature just because I was wearing glasses, right?
Wrong. Guess to which coach I was assigned for PE (Physical Education), and guess who made me work out twice as hard as everyone else for the next nine months. Being tall has it's downside, too.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Just seems odd to me that I'm taller than most everyone here.

I have terrible posture by the way.

The question mark goes in the parentheses. I think.

Ah, okay.

Posture means more than just keeping your back straight. It can also mean keeping your chin up and looking forward directly instead of down on the ground when you walk, as well as making eye contact and projecting a level of alertness and engagement with the world. It communicates a positive attitude to others, and believe me, it CAN increase possibilities in your life, such as making friends and landing that job you want.

Actually, no, because I was asking a question. Otherwise I'd be suggesting your thread title as if you intended to ask the question: 'Height is more Important than Life Itself?'.

I suspected you were taller but didn't know how tall.

Correct answer: "Because I have bad eyesight and fall over a lot."

Let's see him argue with that

Ugh, I hate sports teachers so much, I'd go off on a crazy rant about them but that would be slightly unfair as I did have one sports teacher who was actually a nice person, but alas he only ever taught me for a short time.

Games/P.E. were my most loathed lessons when I was at school, why couldn't we have done some nice maths instead? I always enjoyed being sick, my mother would write me a note to get off Games, and I could spend the time in the library.
