Melanie, that just convinced me to quickly make some pictures of the fossile and post show them to you.

Here's me holding it, to get an impression of the size of the thing.

That not our car, by the way. It's just rented.

Here's for the details:

And just for sillyness...

My catch! (that thing is heavy!)

You forgot the "It was this big, but it got away" picture .

But seriously, that's an impressively preserved fish fossil.

Those pictures are awesome! Thanks for posting them. The detail in that fish fossil is amazing.

Whenever I make it to a beach or I'm out hiking, I'm always looking for shells or interesting rocks, etc. I remember as a kid, we got to go to a quarry for the afternoon and look for fossils (I don't remember if I found any).

Dreamed of being a dictator? Now you can experience all the joys of your very own Führerbunker with the Eva Braun in your life. (Not included.)

If you fancy your own nuclear proof subterranean retreat, this is the property for you! hehe.

I'm still waiting for the secret volcano layer with a big stone monument of me holding my little finger up to my mouth on the outside...

You can have your volcanoes and islands. I'll be happy with the top floor of the Sundowner Casino:

It closed in 2003 and is being converted to condominiums.
(According to the locals this was no great loss, as the Sundowner's only draw was it's exceedingly cheap room rates...around $26 a night.)
