Right now:

SpongeBob Squarepants (season 1,2,3)
Firefly
Futurama (season 1,2,3,4)
Family Guy (volume 1,2,3)
Monty Python's Flying Circus (14-disc collection)
Sealab 2021 (volume 1,2)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force (volume 1,2,3,4)
Space Ghost C2C (volume 1,2)
24 (season 1,2,3,4)
Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (sooooo many, I can't count)

I also have a few anime series like Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Record of Lodoss War.

I'm thinking of buying South Park.

Hey Saks, if you like British comedies, try looking at a show called Coupling. It's one that had me in tears from laughing so hard. Rent it or something first, just in case it's not your thing.

Get The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Watching it as a young adult, it's still as good as when I was a kid.

Oh man, I want the MST3000s! But they're so expensive!

I'll check out coupling, and pete and pete doesn't sound bad. I liked it as a kid.

Well, it is kinda, I suppose at it's very basic elements. But I like Coupling, and I don't like Friends that much. You've got Netflix, right? The first season is only six episodes and fits on one DVD. Just throw it on the queue and try it. Or download an episode or two.

It's hard to guage your taste in television. I know it took us awhile to convince you to watch Firefly. You might end up hating Coupling, though. I don't know if I want that blood on my hands.

Hmmm. I can see the connection you're making but Coupling tends to be a lot more clever and subtle. I think the big difference to me is that the Coupling characters are people you could imagine knowing (or sometimes are even like people you do know) whereas the Friends characters always seemed like extreme caricatures to me.

If you do decide to give it a try make sure you get the UK edition and not the attempt at a US remake.

My TV show DVD collection is piddly due to general lack of funds. To whit:

Babylon 5: Seasons 1 & 2
Crusade: Full
seaQuest: Season 1
Sliders: Seasons 1 - 3
Wing Commander Academy: Full

I agree Pete & Pete is good, although I liked the original "specials" a bit better than the full-fledged series. I wish Nick would release Space Cases or Roundhouse on DVD... Are You Afraid of the Dark? would be cool as well.

Peace & Luv, Liz

Oh yeah, actual stuff I have on DVD

Coupling (honest, its really good)
Press Gang (Childrens TV from the 80s about a school newspaper)
The Flumps (Childrens TV about a family of fluffy balls)
Blakes 7 (heroic sci-fi drama with cheap amazing special effects )
Dungeons and Dragons (the cartoon series)
Spaced (surrealist comedy)
Fawlty Towers (classic stuff)
Brass Eye (investigative reporting satire. highly controversial)
Big Train (completely insane sketch show)
The Adam and Joe Show (late night lunacy from Channel 4)

It was a series that ran for 4 years in the late 90's and had a few TV movies.

Jarod was kidnapped as a young boy because he was a genius and could "Pretend" to be anything.

He escapes and is hunting for his family while being chased be "The Centre" a secret organisation who kidnapped him.

Every week he pretends to be be a different profession to help out people in trouble. I.e he can be a Doctor/Lawyer/Pilot/Pool Shark basically anyone.

Let's see.

M*A*S*H Season 1
M*A*S*H Season 2
M*A*S*H Season 3
Captain Future Season 2 (still have to find Season 1)
Monty Python's Flying Circus Entire series (had to import it from the US, because you can't get the entire series in the UK for some reason)
Ulysses 31 Entire Series (it's only 24 episodes. And the story is complete.) in French (though I can also watch it in english)
Doctor Who Series 1 (this one has an awesome box. It's the TARDIS!), and a few of the classic episodes
Columbo Season 1

Babylon 5: Seaons 1-5.
Deep Space Nine: Seasons 1-7
Battlestar Galactica (New series): Seasons 1-2
The Micallef P(r)ogra(me)e: Series 1-3

Wishing Flying Circus was available on DVD in Australia...

I'd also like some Classic Doctor Who on DVD...

I actually hate owning and buying DVDs. I think its such a pathetic waste of money. I hope I dont end up having any more.

I doubt it ever will. If it was likely, I doubt the guys at wcnews.com would have been given permission to offer it as downloads...

Mind you. Everything gets a DVD release these days. I suppose it probably will one day...

Again I´m the odd bird: I don´t own one singel TV show on DVD. Neither does anyone else in my family.
But if there´s one I would like to have it´s the complete British Cold Feet series.
A sort of more mature, realistic Friends.
Actually one of the best I´ve ever watched.

I forgot to mention one. I remembered that we have Schlupp vom Grünen Stern ("Schlupp from the Green Star") by the Augsburger Puppenkiste on DVD. The Augsburger Puppenkiste is a famous German Marionette theatre. I grew up with their performances that have been broadcast on TV. I hope to get the Opodeldoks on DVD soon.
