Tactlessly understated

United Future Organization and Adventure Games Music
That thread on the Discworld Noir soundtrack reminded me of an acid jazz album that I heard a couple of years ago: 3rd Perspective by the United Future Organization (I am playing around with Amazon Associates, so the link is funky and long). It has a few bits that that screamed ADVENTURE GAMES! to me. One of the songs has a flourish that sounds like the Sam and Max theme, another one has thea beat that is almost verbatim Saphire's song from Discworld Noir, and yet another song is called "Le Serpent Rouge" possibly an (obvious) allusion to KG3. Anybody heard of these guys?

Thanks for the recommendation! Acid Jazz is right up my alley. Unfortunately, the windows media links don't work for me (wmplayer10 refuses to play, whatever I try) and I don't want to install that nasty hurl.exe again to listen to the realmedia files, any thoughts?

They have some nice songs there, although I don't really like the more jazzy stuff. I also don't understand why groups like adding lines from movies; I don't like it.
