You may or may not be looking forward to it, but it's here. And, as you shouldn't let anything get in the way of enjoying it...

All things considered, it's been a good day. I visited Tallon IV, read comic books, played myself a rendition of my "Improvised Sonata" which while not my best wasn't half bad, came up with a new musical theme which I instantly forgot, had lasagna (...Mmmmm, lasagna...) and some pretty good cheesecake, rewatched Mirrormask, listened to Brahms' third symphony on the internet, did no work whatsoever, and generally had a good time. In other words, not any different from any other day. I love my life.

Before I die I'm going to invent some method of instantly notating the music that pops into my brain to prevent exactly that .

Oh, it's not quite that bad. See, I usually get to play a new theme once, or even twice, before forgetting it. The annoyance is usually lessened by the fact that the theme stunk. But every so often, I come across a really brilliant, wholly original, catchy yet complex tune. I play it, think to myself "Oh dear lord that's gorgeous. I've got to play that another five million times.", but when I try to play it again I find I have completely forgotten it. So all I really need is some sort of recording device resting on my piano 24/7.

Pina Colada

happy birthday!

Sorry I missed this day, I was busy aggressively and passionately trying to improve my own life. I'm getting there, slowly but surely.
