Still no gold for Finland, I think we won't get any...

Men, we must be the coolest kid in the block. The US won Gold and Silver in women's halfpipe. We also won a Gold in speed skating, men's 500m.

Zhang and Zhang were indeed awesome. It was incredible what they accomplished. Men's short program today in figure skating. I don't see how the rest of figure skating competition will match what we saw yesterday.

There's a great hockey game going on right now!

USA-Finland, women's Ice Hockey, the last game for both teams in Groub B.

Finland leads 2-1 after the first period. USA is supposed to be huge favourite to win this game. The last time Finland won USA was in 1980.

After two periods, the game is 3-2 to Finland. Could the impossible happen?

EDIT: No, it couldn't happen this time, 56 minutes played and the game is 7-3 to USA...

I've decided that I'll wake up an hour early for the Finnish hockey team. I'll also skip a class.

Most likely there will be Finland-Sweden for bronze in the womens ice hockey tournament don´t you think? And after seeing Finland put so much pressure on the US team I think Finland will be really hard to beat.

Yeah, I think so too.

At the moment nobody can beat Canada or USA, those two teams are just way too superior.

Men's hockey started today, Finland-Switzerland 5-0 after the 2nd period. This is one boring game, Swiss players stopped playing after the 3-0 goal and now we have no trouble scoring goals.

Booooooooooooooooring... I don't like it when there isn't a real game going on in the rink.

Canada and Sweden looked impressive in their first hockey win. We haven't even seen teams like Finland, Russia, and Czech Republic. This is going to be a war, isn't it? Whoever's going to win the gold will have to overcome many tough battles.

By the way, the ice looked awful during the Sweden-Kazakhstan match. There were puddles of water on the ice. The second Kazakhstan goal was scored when the puck got stuck on a puddle of ice and Daniel Alfredson lost it to a Kazakhstan player in the Swedish zone! I've never seen anything like that.

Quick update on Swedish medals!
Anja Pärsson - alpine downhill - bronze!!!
Anna-Karin Olofsson biathlon sprint - silver!!!

And today we will play Russia in the mens ice hockey tournament. Since they lost to Slovakia yesterday ther´re probably really grumpy and want revenge.

Finland won over Italy 6-0 in hockey today. Nothing surprising with that, but Switzerland's win over Czech with 3-2 was quite surprising.

And Sweden lost 5-0 to Russia! Everybody point and laugh!

And the american tema tied 3-3 with Latvia. Latvia! And we lost to Italy in men's curling. Life sucks.

When does Finland play Canada anyway? That's gotta be a big game, right?

On Sunday at 9 PM local time (that's 8 PM GMT, you do the math). Yeah, it's gonna be big, hopefully we can get the badly needed revenge from the last World Cup finals.

Tomorrow Finnish Women's Ice Hockey team will play against Canada in the semi finals. That game is going to be murder, Hayley Wickenheiser & co. will crush our team.

How do they choose the teams that advance in men's hockey? Do they choose the top two or three in each group?

Top four of each group, then begins the eight team playoffs.

I´ve never been so happy to be wrong!!! USA - Sweden 2-4 !!!
We´re playing final!!!
The game was really exciting 2-2 after 70 minutes (including sudden death).
It ended with penalties where our excellent goalkeeper Kim Martin did a great job and also we scored which the US did not.

Finland will you join us???
