Hey everyone! Hey Mira, my love!
Well, I made it - and the first thing I did after copious travelling is sit down to write a quick report. I'm totally shattered but quite happy, got the kettle on for a nice cuppa tea and actually enjoyed the inflight movies for a change! Well, from here I can see Mount Fuji, although its quite hazy today. It's cold in Japan and all I could take from my 2 hours bus trip to my cousins was just the sheer scale of Tokyo - it's the biggest city I've ever seen, a real sprawl, only without it feeling nasty. It's so clean here! They've also got those crazy double layered roads, only here they've got curves and bends and they drive on the correct side of the road (like us Brits)... heheh... Not much more to say just yet, if I can get some pictures up I will later on. Just need to rest for a bit and get used to the vast time difference... managed it in San Fran, so I'm sure I will here. Oh, and my reasons for being here - my cousin is moving back to England soon and before my next job starts (IF it does, long story) and whilst I could just about afford it, I figured I really should go. I'd love to pass it off as a work expense, but it was all arranged so fast I haven't contacted any Japanese animation houses. Any ideas, give me a PM or write here! Cya later!

Touchdown!
Not important, but are you using your cousin's PC or do you have a laptop with you?

Failing that, it's always fun to visit the Ghibli Museum (which is not at the Studio), though I imagine that wouldn't help you with establishing your trip as a business expense. |

Slept well last night! Will be heading off to Omiya today, the nearby town centre, to check out the shops. Eating here is real good - went to a sit down resteraunt last night where the table looks really small with pillows, but underneath it there's a hole dug out for your legs. The top was a hotplate to cook your food - had some strange omlette things! Also tried Lemon Sour, really refreshing alcoholic drink, and got some Fanta thinking it would be orange. No, it was lurid green Melon flavour!
This is going to be an interesting trip!

Yeah, but only recently. Its more circumstance and luck than anything else... its funny cos I'm really quite a stay-at-home fella who loves his creature comforts. For one thing, I tend to know people I can stay with so it doesn't cost me as much as it should. When I went to Moscow the entire time in the hostel cost me about $150 for two weeks, thanks to Mira! I had my own room there.
My cousin has been living here for four years, and he's coming back soon. So it's very last chance and tbh I can't really afford it. But, if it's once in a lifetime, so be it. Take you chances and grab them by the balls. Of course, I didn't grab my cousin by the balls. I don't think he'd like that.

Basically, the moral of the story is, when you decide to meet a Mira in real-life, she changes your life big time.

And talking parked cars outside the window. Beats the annoying car that's always wailing outside my window.

In Russian, "kakkoi Sam" would mean "Which Sam?".

Take away the letters "kak" from the begining of that phrase, and the same is true of Serbian.

Just chilling before I head out. Just learnt pink Kit Kats are gross.
