Well that's a bummer. I'm trying to make these not too difficult, but yea Once a Villain, right on both.
As for your 3., it looks like Autumn Sonata. |

The movie in which the guy starred was linked to a TV series.

4. The one I thought of was Chris Isaak in Twin Peaks:Fire walk with me but he's FBI not CIA.

Now, since I was right on #5, here's the new #5: This movie is about a village where the people follow a strange tradition: when they turn 70 they must go up on top of a mountain and sit there until they die. Two versions of this film have been made, both with the same name. Name the film. Last edited by Once A Villain; 02-27-2006 at 11:34 AM. |

5. Narayama Bushiko? Awesome movie, I saw the 1983 version but I remember very little from it, aside from the beautiful cinematography and top notch acting.

5. Which movie by a famous director takes place entirely on a liferaft? edit: updated questions, for clarity's sake: 1. Once a Villain's duty (from what I can gather amidst all the confusion?)... 2. What poet appears in an incredibly long movie reciting all 4000+ pages of one of his poems? 3. Spiwak's turn... 4. Which really famous singer got a small part as a CIA agent in a strange (but famous) American movie? HINT: The movie in which the guy starred was linked to a TV series. 5. I like how you used Liferaft instead of the movie title Lifeboat. Hitchcock.

Wow! #1 is my duty. Totally forgot. Thanks for the reminder jjacob. Ok here goes...
QUESTION #1: Name the famous trilogy of 1930's French films, adapted from the stage by the original writer, where each film is named after one of the three main characters. |

5# What actor played the school principal in E.T., only to have his scene cut when Spielberg decided that his presence would be too distracting?

I can't believe I actually got one!
5. At a famous film festival, this Asian director thanked octopi (yes, octopi) along with cast and crew when presented with an award. Name the director and the movie in which octopi played a "controversial" role. |

5. Oldboy? It has to be that or that weird octopus boxing film (yes you heard me) of which I can't seem to remember the title.
edit: oh and the director is ofcourse Chan-wook Park. If that's the correct answer then it'd be because a living octopus was eaten in the (brilliant) film. Last edited by jjacob; 02-27-2006 at 06:33 PM. |
