I've only ever heard sports like cricket referred to as a 'sport for fags', but I came from a football & rugby school. In the UK, footy is generally pretty rough and physical outside of the premier league. But when you get to the premier it's definitely more 'fancy'. And players diving and writhing on the floor when someone so much as tugs their shirts is definitely not helping the games image. I think that's why Premier teams sometimes struggle against lower division sides, they just can't handle the physical nature of their game.

Just my age group, probably. I wouldn't expect someone in their twenties and over even using the word "fag."

I say "fags" all the time.

Mind you in the UK a fag is

for smoking.

And Sam whoever told you soccer is a game for fags hasn't had his legs swept from under him by metallic spikes. Just try playing soccer in Columbia. You lose a game, you get shot. (real story)

I have friends who play soccer regularly. The Mexicans on the other teams will complain that Americans don't play Mexican soccer (which is much more aggressive I think).
