Which would you choose as your fave cult classics?

Bad Taste & Braindead, quality gross-out films. The vomit-eating from the first and the rice pudding scene from the second both take a strong stomach to get through!

Also, pretty much any John Carpenter film.

[EDIT] Dark Star reminded me of another classic, The Last Starfighter!

Agreed with Seebsruk on Bad Taste and Braindead. I'd like to add the Evil Dead trilogy.

Kentucky Fried Movie.

In the past year, over 800,000 millions have died. Despite millions of dollars of research, death continues to be our nation's number one killer.
It is also important to know what to do you when you die. 1) Don't try to drive a car. 2) Do not operate heavy machinery. 3) Do not talk.

oH, the newscaster is hilarious, too:

The popcorn you are eating has been pissed in. More at eleven.

I'm not wearing any pants. Film at eleven.

Mwahahahahahhhh!

Ooh, the Kentucky Fried Movie is great and culty indeed. Big Jim Slade! Catholic High School Girls In Trouble!

Anyway. I'd say Rocky Horror, even though it's a tad predictable.

The people who made Runaway totally ripped off Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

The 1983 film Joysticks, a comedy about the video game arcades of pre 1985 days. Very nostalgic and if anyone can find a poster of this film on the net I take my hat off to you.

A poster to buy or just a picture of the poster on the net?

Combining humour and sci-fi is really hard, Dark Star is one of few sci-fi comedies that actuallty succeed with this.

Dark Star, by the way, is John Carpenters first film.It was co-written by Dan O´Bannon who went on to creating one of the best films ever, Alien!

There doesn't seem to be any image on the net for the 1983 film Joysticks, not a VHS, DVD cover or anything.

I heard that the beach ball monster in Dark Star was the genesis for the creature in alien. O' Bannon was also involved in the 1983 film Blue Thunder which I think deserves to be a cult movie.

Anyone else like The Omega Man? I hope they don't remake it because I thought it was already perfect.

I think for me it would have to be "Planet of the Apes" - the 1968 version starring Charlton Heston and Roddy McDowall; not the awful "re-imagining" in 2001 with "Mark (NKOTB) Wahlberg"

Wasn´t it Donnie Wahlberg who was in NKOTB? His brother Mark Wahlberg was the leadman in Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch!

Oh god, i can´t believe i actually know all this stuff.

Correct. He played the former patient who shot Bruce Willis's character in "The Sixth Sense".

Right again. He also starred in "Boogie Nights", another cult fave.

That's really spooky, we were just talking about Donnie Wahlberg and the fact he was that dude in the 6th sense. You don't actually live and work in London do you??

He's also just starred in Saw 2, he did a pretty decent job.
