I don't find Little Britain funny. Yes, sadly.

Do you think that's an American influence?

I'd say American culture is generally more crass than crude. We were always crude, it's our way, especially in comedy.

Bottom is probably the quintessential show that demonstrates our crudeness (yayy, I got to say 'quintessential' again).

Richie: Look, we have got guests coming, remember? So I had better get on with my turkey
Eddie: What are you going to do with it?
Richie: Well, it's the season of goodwill and peace on earth, so I thought I'd chop both its feet off, rip out its innards, strip it, shove an onion up its arse and bung it in a very hot place for four hours until it's completely burnt.

Hmm, think I prefer the last one out of all of them! I haven't seen any killer robots or mutants roaming the streets, but then I haven't seen anyone having an orgasm in them either.

Hi, everyone! I've made it safely to London, yay! I had a gruesome morning too, making my way to London. I did not even sleep the whole night, left my dorm at about 7 a.m. (it was super dark) and discovered that, to my horror, it had been snowing heavily the night before. So, imagine me, one petite girl dragging three luggages through the snow up the stairs towards the bus stand and then dragging them off the bus and down into the Metro all by my lonely self... woo hoo! I'm a lot tougher than I gave myself credit for (though I have to admit that I was panting and nearly half-dead by the time I made it into the Metro train). Well, at least I made it safely to the airport on my own

As usual, I am a menace to the society when I am with luggages and I don't know how many people I've tripped on my way to London (and in London!!!). Getting through customs was something I worried about a lot, though, because I was a bit worried I'd get hassled by officials or maybe my documents were not in order (you never know these Russian customs)... but luckily nothing like that happened.

So, I sat through an uneventful 4 hours flight (which was delayed for about half-an-hour in Moscow due to the sudden heavy snowfal and poor visibility). I tried to have a nap on the plane and even studied some Anatomy. It was quite a noise flight, actually... seems like they've decided to pack the plane with lots of screaming babies and tantrum-throwing kids . However, I had a thrill to get my first glimpse of Big Ben, the London Eye, River Thames and Westminster Abbey as we landed.

Glad to say that I had no trouble locating my luggages. I am so happy to see SJH again... and he was so sweet! He was wating for me outside with a bouquet of flowers *swoon*. We ran and hugged each other, much to the amusement of onlookers. Guess we made it obvious we're on long-distance .

I like the Tube... though IMHO I'm more used to the Moscow Metro rushing high speed. I still can't get over the feeling that "Wow! I'm in London!!!"

Will be posting pictures soon.

Lots of love,
Mira

My heartfelt blessings on you both, squaresie and Mira. Enjoy each other's beauty and vitality in magnificent London. I can't think of a better Christmas gift for you than being cocooned in each other's love.

Well, I'm glad your trip was mostly uneventful! Relax, enjoy yourselves, and have a wonderful vacation. The two of you will have a joyful Christmas together, and that's what love's all about. Hugs to you both!
