I thought mummies were rather busy being wrapped up and chucked into musty sarcophagi.

Unless you were calling for a carnivorous mummy, in which case Jat is done for.

It's british, dammit!

My sister and I bought our mother a button from the British Museum when we were in London. It shows the sarcophagus of an egyptian mummy, and has "I <3 my Mummy" written on it.

No worries! I've arranged it so that the burning sulphur evades you and Tibsie in a radius of 4 metres.

Why am I being quoted before that rather bizarre response?

What type of meters are we talking here? Parking meters? Ammeters? Voltmeters? Speedometers? Or perhaps you meant metres...

I don't know what you're talking about.

Darn, that's the one word I always mix up (and maybe how to pronounce plaque as opposed to plague, though I don't actually mix those two words up in writing), forgetting which one is the british spelling. In German, we write "Meter" for "metre", and since English is related to German, I just assumed it was still pretty close.

PS BTW, is anyone working on the digest version of the thread we discussed last week? I'm like 10 pages behind with no hope of catching up.

Oh, you just had to go and do that, didn't you? Now I'm crave for Sushi like some pregnant woman for mackerel dipped in chocolate spread! And I have no way of acquiring Sushi before Wednesday!

I think I might one day do that...when I have secured a safe place in life, that is. And ten pages are actually not that hard to catch up, considering the posts are really quite short most of the time. I've caught up from 10 pages and more several times already.
