Not before you finish singing Always Look on the Bright Side of Life in its entirety. Do that twice. No, three times and you can then die. Please note the fact that your life is not yours to dismiss at will.

You didn't think I'd actually let you drink bleach, did you? That was just milk in there. So stop playing dead and say sorry already!

I know it's really none of my business but may I ask, Squinky, why you have such a negative and pessimistic view on romantic prospects? Love is a funny thing. You may find it when you are least expecting it. I know that's a cliche but I can tell you from personal experience that it does happen to some people. Love also is not all or nothing proposition. Many people find love and still manage to maintain their independent self.

I'm not particularly against relationships; I'm just not ready for them at this point in my life, is all. Mainly due to the fact that I'm changing so much, and still in the middle of trying to figure out who I am, so any relationship I have would likely be short-lived and ending in heartbreak. Also, in case you think I don't know what I'm talking about, I've actually been in relationships before, so I've seen this happen in my life firsthand.

I also have people in my life with whom I share a strong loving bond, even though we're not in a relationship, and to tell you the truth, that makes me happy enough right now. It's all I need. I've never felt freer and more content than I did after I made this realisation.

I wouldn't mind being in a relationship, but they always have a nasty tendency to get in the way of one's goals. And the significant other stereotype always seems to be unhappy unless it's all about her.

Anyway, I find it hard to imagine loving everything about someone except me.....

I'd suggest not dating a stereotype, then.

But aren't they all?

I suppose not. Still, to be wary, I've always been businesslike and serious with any member of the opposite sex. I can't afford any of them drawing my attention away from my ambitions. Those persons who have offered advice on it to me can't understand what I'm doing, though.

"You need to talk to that girl more."

"But, I don't really want to. I talked to her not too long ago, and there's nothing more of any interest to say."

"But, just talk! She's going to think you don't like her."

"Don't be ridiculous. I talk to her a lot, she's a good friend to talk to. Nothing more, just talk now and then. Besides, I have projects I need to finish, and I need most of my spare time for them."

"What are you, gay? Anyway, I think she likes you."

"No, I'm not gay! I just don't like talking to anyone more than usual. Unless I'm on a certain forum."
