The cells lining your respiratory tree have cilia which bring up fluid and mucous that your respiratory tract makes to trap particles and other things that don't belong down there and the cilia bring it back up so your lung stays clear of things that don't belong there. If you hamper that system, you can actually make things worse. Sorry for being a spoil sport. |
