Did you know that "Pez" is short for "Pfefferminz" - "Peppermint"? That was the original flavour that it was available in. These days you don't get it in Peppermint any longer.

I'm going to make a Peztini, it's just a Martini with some ground up Pez stuck to the rim of the glass, and a couple of Pez in place of the olive.

It's not about being lazy. It's about being practical. It's no fun to have to choose between really hot water or really cold water. Sure, you could tap up a mixture of them both, but that requires filling up the sink, wasting a lot of water in the process.
