But if you really want to quote that line you need to credit Mark Leiknes, writer of the daily comic Cow & Boy. This is today's edition. EDIT. Oh and I've had two of my poems published internationally.

Good one! (Watch out for his crossbow!)
No, it isn't. It's "daerht". (I admit that "daerth" sounds better, but that's beside the point.)

This should set you up. It's the place that sends me my daily comics e-mail (for a very cheap yearly sub) where I saw the cartoon.
I get 20 different comics daily and could add more it at no cost. Bonus link. Today's surreality in online gaming award (as presented by me) James the Deep Sea Zebra.

Basically, I move my mouth around, and I force air out of my lungs past my voice box.

That would just give him a pneumothorax and his lungs would be atelectic. So yeah, that would get the air out of his lungs.

I have no idea what that smart people talk means but I'm gonna assume that it's going to kill him. Doens't that mean he won't be able to kill the thread?

Sorry for the jargon (it's not smart people talk, it's just terms you haven't heard). It means his lungs would collapse so um... possibly.

Is "custard" some kind of metaphor?

Knowing how some of you lot are, I don't want to know what "custard" might imply.
