How?

I would feel sad, yes. *sniff* Like when that annoying neighbor that you like to fight with moves out.

"A bit sad" is hardly the same as "depressed". Hyperbole is a wonderful figure of speech, but if everyone uses it all the time, it is worthless.

Spoiler:

D'ya see what I did there?

I'm afraid you'll have to elaborate. I haven't had my coffee yet, so I'm still a bit groggy.

*sigh* I'd say that Giligan must be American to miss it, but my esteem of Americans has gone up since yesterday for some reason.

Spoiler:

"everyone uses it all the time" is itself hyperbole

So, Americans have become the punching bag for mentally well-endowed persons the world over, eh?

Die, Thread!

I was just listening to Hillary's speech after she held her seat, and one thing struck me as very strange. The idea, that is, that she got elected because people really wanted a change to Democrat, only to follow the point with congratulations for getting Democrats out to vote.

I appreciate that that's how politics works, but it still came across as a little strange.

American politics all seems very strange to me. I don't mean that in a rude way, though!

I know! Don't you just hate it?

And I've had people say for example (this is a Finnish expression) "He had a thumb in the middle of his palm" OK, nothing everything fine with that, but then said "literally". I was amazed, "Wow, now that's a weird anomaly".

Then it turned out it was not literally, but figuratively

I'm serious. I regularly check this thread, even if I can see without checking that there's no new replies.

Don't worry, I think I might cheer up again once my NWN 2 arrives. Because then I will have one less thing to worry about.

Of course, there's always university to keep me bothered.

Thank you, thank you. Now, what I wish for in return is for you, or anyone else, that includes you too whoever reads this, to not post.

Remember, just don't post!
