Hugh Laurie is incredibly funny. A Bit of Fry & Laurie is an amazing show.

Would you two stop with the boring 'whatevers' and 'hehs' -

It's more interesting reading actual full sentences.

Okay Mr. Smarty-Pants, why don't you tell us what harpsichord pieces you've provided vocal accompaniment to?

Agree! I´ve been wondering what kind of chorus you´re in.
I sing in a chorus myself, although barbershop! We compete in the Nordic Championships in the beginning of May with perfect harmonies ,fake eyelashes and gorgeous smiles!

Wow! Two things...
1. I just got a vision of Gershwin's "What'll I Do?" done by a barbershop quartet. Not bad really, and it would make a great final encore.
2. Jeysie's roommate is in a barbershop quartet as well. I can't wait until she reads this.

Well, not solo singing (my voice sucks), but a proper performance of Messiah involves one for a start...

Okay, I might as well admit to it - I used to sing with the Sweet Adelines as well, back in the 1970's. I belonged to a small group, about 22 of us including two of my sisters. I sang tenor, one sister sang baritone, and the other sang lead. We tried to get my other sister in, to sing bass so we could make a quartet, but it didn't work out. My brother was at one time in SPEBSQA(?) - the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America.

I left primarily because the rehearsals were too late for me - till 11pm and I lived 45 min away. I had to be up at 5am for work. 5 hrs sleep just wasn't enough for me, shrug...

I sing Dido songs in the shower. All that moisture is good for my voice.

I don't think I've ever heard the entire Messiah, but I've sung the Halleluiah Chorus enough times in choirs and choruses. I've never seen a harpsichord used, but maybe it's only needed for the entire Messiah.

I sang a Liza Minnelli song in the shower yesterday, but it was an accident!
Cabaret just popped into my head.
