Hrm...I might let you kill the Thread Robise, on condition you attend the get-together in Hastings.

I think I am going to have to learn Japanese just to understand the music my youngest daughter listens to.
Besides, I would like the Polysics alot better if I knew they weren't talking about slitting my throat.

Well, my exams are officially in July, so my attendance is really dependent on what other work I get set. And I won't know that until closer to the time.

It's a good thing I don't have to book flights.

I'm spending all my expenses to get me and Louie there.

Or me and my mother, if Louie for some unforseen reason, can't make it/breaks the wedding off.

It's been some time since there have been any changes on these forums, but there is a big one coming up which we'd like to inform you about.

In a couple of weeks we will be launching a new version of Adventure Gamers, and as part of this we will also be opening a brand new set of forums. These forums will be running off new software that provides a better user experience. However, we will not be able to import any content into these new forums, and so the current forums will be turned into a read-only archive.

We currently estimate the switch-over to happen during the second half of April

(We'll post a more specific date here once we have dotted some final i's.)

We know changes like this can be disruptive, though we are planning to make the switch as smooth as possible. If all goes well the downtime should be minimal (a few hours at most).

We hope you will like the improvements this upgrade will bring. In the meantime, join us later this month in saying goodbye to some of the AG Forums' longest-living threads. Will "Thread Must Die!" finally die? Who will have the final word? We will find out soon!
Thank you for being a part of the AG community, and if you have any concerns or questions, please let us know. A few questions we have already answered below.

Thanks,
The AG Team
I do not know what to say about this.

We can hold a candlelight vigil until that inevitable day... I have plenty of black candles from my various shrines to movie stars, TV soap actors and AG regulars. Wait, I did not just type that.

My academic career may take a sharp decline in its literal final days because of this.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody contact SJH (I think). He's going to need to make that drawing soon that he promised as prize.

I have to say, of all the possible outcomes of this thread, I never expected this. In one way it's of course exciting that someone actually will win this and that the winner will be visible (instead of everything disappearing), but then again, for the most part it is not only sad but also a terrible blow to the metaphysical, existentialistic levels that I've always enjoyed in this thread.

Not to mention the records we were no doubt breaking...

*sigh*

Not only will this Thread die, but all the threads on AGF will die too. We've been trying to kill this thread for so long, but I feel so sad now. I can't even... Name: pout.gif

Well you can't, because they're not.

That is, nothing is, apparently, deleted. They're still there for your viewing pleasure, just that they're archived and untouchable.

I personally am worried about the Karmic buildup if this Thread were to pass on. all the built up sarcasm might make it come back as a political commentator. Or maybe Don Rickles.
