Is that all part of the name? I mean, is it named "Laura" or "Laura then"?

That's a good point. I mean if "then" is a surname it should be capitalised really.

Splellnig and garmaar are srs bsns.

Having said that I like the idea of giving animals surnames.

Reading it I recognize much from German, English and even some Swedish. I imagine I would be able to learn Dutch since it has got components from other languages I know/are familiar with.

tsa, when do we start?

I always hear non-native Dutch speakers complain that Dutch is a very illogical language with loads of exceptions to even more rules.

Good luck

I'm all for Terry. It can be very gender neutral.

I think (but what do I know) that Dutch and Swedish are pretty similar in terms of grammar. So learning Dutch will be a breeze Jelena! Let's start next week, ok?

The same language family at least.

And German and Swedish are very similar, and Dutch and German are similar, so Dutch and Swedish should be pretty similar too.

Ah, the bane of any German student in Finland, Swedish. And the bane of any Swedish student in Finland, German. They're confused all the time...

I never understood why Dutch and German are similar. I never 'got' German at school. I dropped it as soon as I could and chose nice subjects like chemistry and physics instead.

Ooh, goodie! I want to learn some useful phrases first: hello and goodbye and how are you-stuff.
