England is great.
We all live just round the corner from your relations over here and regularly take tea with the queen. As for the sogginess, that is true for no more than 360 days of the year so it hardly counts really! We are also in the funny position of having no national pride whatsoever (it is illegal over here) but still knowing we're better than everyone else. To sum it up, I would say that everyone has his or her own definition of what it is to be English and all of them are wrong. |

Funnily enough, it's the fact that you're not expected to give a shit about national pride that makes me most proud of my nation.

You should like Finland too then, I think.
But then the Finnish sense of being Finnish is really strange and I won't go into that now. As for England's sogginess, I'm always reminded of the part in Asterix & Obelix in Britain where Asterix asks if it's always so misty in there... Here it is in French: http://youtu.be/lBzYgFWFeQ4 (The transcript would be something like: "Is it always so misty in here?" "Oh no. Sometimes it also rains" or whatever) |

I'll make an adventure game set where I live, so you can all come and see the horrible, horrible sights.
