In the spirit of "When in Rome...", I think "marra" or "mate" will do nicely. Calling you "The Shiznit" with my accent is likely to cause anyone within earshot to fall on the ground laughing.

(When I say "Shiznit", it comes out sounding like SHEE-uz NEE-ut. Not too cool.
