Sorry to bother you all... but, I've spoke to this girl before and quite like her (she seemed to find me OK, I think), so what would be a good way to just randomly start a conversation with her?
I was thinking that I could just smile if I see her, would that contribute in any way?

...sie.

I have another problem...
My ship's laser cannons are damaged - in order to fix them, I need to get a part from Fat Geront. Basically, he's asking me to break into the police station and find and destroy his criminal record... should I do it?

It sounds like Hammy is living an adventure game... or at least playing one. Maybe he should try one of those Japanese relationship sim games where you have to say all of the right things to get the girl to give you the time of day???

Surely such things don't exist.
Spoiler:
Do a search for Sim Date and there are tonnes of them. I'd heartily recommend NOT clicking on any of the adult ones. Seriously disturbing.

If the exam is the All Souls one-word essay and "nothing" was the subject then you'd be sorted.

Sadly they appear to be doing away with that.

I have:

A Chinese exam on Monday;
A political philosophy exam on Tuesday;
A research paper due on Wednesday, and
A sociology exam on Thursday.

I'm pretty much fucked.

Meh. That exam is such a great idea.

And no, sadly, it's the written component of my first year medical exams. And they seem to have a love of making me a) draw graphs from memory and b) asking me about one or two subjects in extraordinary detail.

Umm... What was I supposed to say again?

Oh yeah, I've never really gotten the grip of the word "novelty". I mean, I understand quite well where it's used and why, but the actual meaning or the translation still eludes me...

Maybe that's because there really isn't a translation into Finnish.

Anyways, sounds like a fun/"fun" exam. It'd be fun at least if it didn't have such important implications. You know, just a text that you write for a class or something.

Very few people get to take it, anyway.
